Finally got my 7 digits

I would like to get a new Mac Pro but that will have to wait til next year. We will have to see what kind of ppd they can do.

I'm getting a new GTX480 to add to my collection, I've heard they can do 16-18k ppd.

i am sure they can really put out a ton of ppd. some people are already folding with the same processors in other machines.

nice! my gtx465 is doing very well so far. i'm not sure the exact ppd (i haven't been tracking any lately), but it's gotta be over 10,000 ppd if i had to guess. so the 480 would be great. it does use more power though, and it costs more.

I've noticed your points are way up :eek: have you gotten all of your machines going now? or is it just that 465?

I have been debating whether to get a couple of 460 class gpu's or a single 480. I only have 2 open slots right now so I went with the 480 so I could move one from another machine as it is getting too hot. That leaves me with no open (usable anyway) slots now. And yes I did think about the power bill, I'll just have to live with "computer heating" this winter.

yeah i'm finally getting my systems running more smoothly. they are still not perfect. infact, i had to stop one of my gtx260 b/c one of my rigs kept overheating with it in there.

maybe i'll start a thread about hardware. it would be cool to know what everyone is folding with (espeically you)

so i hit 12 million today. 20 AUG. so that took about 15 days for the last million. if things go well, i should hit the next million even faster. we'll see.

I was just looking at kakaostats and twoodcc is at 134th place for weekly points :D

It's still up but he did threaten to quit when he was having trouble with data. We might be playing leapfrog for a while...

sorry to hear that. power usage is a big deal (my last power bill was outrageous), but some people can afford it, and some can't.
