so i hit 15 million points today. 16 SEP. about 10 days this time. i might up production when it gets colder here

yeah last time was about 7 days. but that would be hard to maintain for a long period of time.

i keep posting when someone gets another million points for the team, to give them props, and to keep promoting our folding team here. there are a ton of members here that aren't on the team that could really put up some points

i think its a great idea, and any mod would be silly to punish you for advertising something that the MR.com website came up with 😉

thanks! no word yet. the guy hasn't come back to check and see if there was a leak. he put in a dye to check for leaks, and he's supposed to come back soon. but we had another huge power bill last month again. not quite as bad, but still over $300. so my output will be a little less for now

yeh its amazing how much you can save even by using <10% CPU/GPU - they tend to use exponentially more power the higher the CPU goes 🙁

Does a brand new iMac i7 help? 😀 Just started yesterday again after a long absence. Let's see when I hit a million with this baby.
Also looked at my stats and I see that two computers at my former work are still folding for me 😛

they run SO cool! 65*C under load. its wonderful. i only wish that osx had GPGPU computing! could 4x our contributions!
HAHAHAHA. id die if i did that. i used to have my school computers doing it but they must have reinstalled the OS 🙁

Yeah, 65*C is cool, but it starts making a pretty noise after a while and the back does feels hot...
The IT department didn't care, as long as it didn't do funny stuff / gave errors etc. So a couple of new pc's where C2D machines and I was the one (the bookkeeper) that hooked the machines up for the rest of the administration department. Because none of my old-colleagues did knew the difference from an USB and an Ethernet cable and the IT department didn't hook the machines up. So on the parttimers machines I also installed F@H that made use of one core because they never stressed the machines. They never noticed!😀
BTW, what kind of setups do you guys have, producing a million points in a couple of days?? It has taken me a couple of years and multiple machines folding day and night (in the past) to get to a third of a million... Then I received the electricity bill and stopped my activity to almost none at home.
Edit: Never mind, already (took me two days...) read all 20 pages of this thread, so I've got a pretty good idea what you guys are running. I'll try to install F@H tomorrow on my pc at my new job, also an i7 and pretty decent GPU. Let's see if I'm allowed to install it.

Unfortunately I don't have access to my work computer, I'm just a user, not an administrator. Would have loved to have this machine running 24/7. Unfortunately, no such luck. Will try to talk to one of the ICT guys on a Friday with a beer, maybe I'll get access and install F@H on it!
