If I understood correctly, the bigadv have to be done ASAP. I don't let it fold 24/7, just a couple of hours per day, so I probably won't make the deadline. Now I also have a job (P6701) that has to be finished in a couple of days that needs a lot of work. Already let the iMac on all day to get it finished on time. I can use the points, can pass two people if it's finished

well yeah if you don't fold 24/7, you won't make the deadline. but i'm curious, why not let it fold all the time? you can still use the computer while its folding. i know some people worry with heat. but that shouldn't be a problem. you can always monitor the temps if you are worried.

MC68K was here for a good while. up until about 6 months ago or so i think. i'm not exactly sure what happened
Speaking of bigadv's....I've got bigadv turned on my home built i7 rig (just as an experiment, I'm new the the whole scene) and I really hope I can meet my deadline. It's due in 2 days and 17 hours, but the ETA is 2 days 6 hours. This would be ok if I could let it run for 24/7, but unfortunately this is the computer in my bedroom....and it sounds like a jet engine .
That means I can only let it be off for 5.5 hours each night... I usually sleep about 7-8 hours a night.
So, do I choose sleep, or meeting my deadline?

hey! well if there's nothing you can do to make the computer less loud, then i guess you gotta get some sleep of course. but maybe there's some way to re-arrange your room or something?

Yep. Its an i7 920 and I've got it at 4Ghz right now.

yeah that will do very well with bigadv units! but you gotta fold 24/7 though. yeah just put it in another room, or listen to music lol
