No that's what people who buy a Porsche or an Audi say. American sports cars are trashy.
There's so much ignorance in this thread. If you knew anything about cars, particularly the one we are discussing; Corvette Stingray, you'd realize just how inaccurate this is. As I said earlier the Stingray is universally acclaimed for it's value, performance, and quality. It's a world class car. Not my opinion, supported by endless automotive press reviews. Even the British automotive press likes it, that's unheard of!

End of story.

The Corvette is nothing more than a glorified Camaro.

As Sammy Hagar once sang, "I E-A-T Z28!"

:D

Clearly you never owned one to appreciate it.

From power, to handling, to the lines of the body, it's one of the few cars that has it all for under $100k.

My c5 had one of the best COGs out there and still does.

Too bad that a large majority of Apple users would never buy anything built by GM. The only thing GM has ever been good at is building garbage and then asking for a bailout when it was mismanaged right down the drain.

I beg to differ. GM has a few models, just like Ford, that puts its pride in.

Silverado and Corvette for example.

Clearly you know nothing about the Corvette Stingray. It has won every major industry accolade and is nowhere on the same planet as the Camaro. It's on the planet with the Porsche 911, Jaguar F-type, even Ferrari's and Lamborghini's. Get your facts before you make such an ignorant blanket statement.

This Apple user has a 2016 Corvette on order. In fact I waited to order a 2016 because of the rumors that CarPlay would be on board. Glad I waited.

Exactly, I hate when people talk **** before even owning one. I had owned a C5 and driven a C4 and C6. I enjoyed all three cars, but the C5 was my favorite - and not just because I own it but because of how low to the ground it was and how well it handled... personally found it better than the C6 in the area, but lacked the power of the C6.

Even my 2000 that is now 15 years old still holds its appeal. Can't say that for a lot of cars out there.

Not sure I would bother buying a vehicle just due to CarPlay but if I can use it as an excuse to trade my 15' Z51 for a 16' Z06... if the wife buys that excuse I'll use it lol.

You've obviously never been in a C6, much less driven one.. so there's really no arguing here. Btw, I have a 2011 M5 and, if I had to choose just one...it'd easily be the C6 Z ! It's so much more fun!!

Have you ever driven a Corvette produced after 1962?

My First car - 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix GTX [ GM ]
Then, 2001 Pontiac Trans AM WS6 [ GM ]
And now, 2012 Chevy Z06 [ GM ]

Planned... another Z06 down the road. Also, have an Escalade [ 2008 ] and Chevy Impala in the family, other than BMWs and Acuras.. I absolutely LOVE GM !!
Congrats. The C6 Z06 is my favorite in terms of design. The new ones are OK. The front is great. The back is kinda disappointing because they put Camaro lights instead of Corvette-style round lights.

Spark but no Sonic :( I love the size of the Sonic but if there is no Carplay or Android Auto I won't be getting one and Sparks are tiny :(

You do realize this model is in its THIRD year? The taillight issue has been discussed, debated, and beaten to death.

Enough said.

I don't see what the year has to do with it. All the Corvettes within the same generation look nearly the same. And that picture really says that it DOES have Camaro lights. They're squared, not rounded. The entire back looks like a sleeker (yet still chunky) Camaro back, in fact.

What sources you have to backup that statement that you are trying to pass off as fact? I'm not saying you are right or wrong, just curious about such an ludicrous claim.

There is literally no resemblance other than both having some variation of a quadrilateral shape. This conversation is over, as I said this is the third model year and it's been beaten to death.

lol.. matter of opinion.. Lexus is a glorified Toyota... Acura is a glorified Honda... etc etc..

Oh, I absolutely obliterated a Nissan GT-R last week.. in a glorified camaro GM [ Z06 ] all the way to 180 mph :D

I'd like to see you beat a GTR on a real race track, not in a straight line where kids think their civics are the fastest. Because on a real track there're more than just raw power and that's where real races happen

Big heavy engine in the front with a ton of understeer...the American way. After driving lightweight mid engined cars for the last 10 years, I can't go back.
