Well a day in and my further thoughts so far :

Battery life seems no different than my 6 Plus which is a good thing. Better would have been great but the original was great.

Camera I'm warming too, I've added some to the end of this post.

I can't say I've noticed the extra weight of the phone which again is good.

Definitely snappier than my 6 Plus.

Peek and pop is awesome, I'm already using it rather than the usual way.

Still annoyed about the fingerprint sensor. It's just not possible to light up the phone when it's in the hand using any fingers other than my thumbs which always results in unlocking the phone. Pressing the power button is awkward and fiddly. It's not the end of the world but I wish there was a way to add a slight delay to it. Pressing with my nail or any other suggestion just isn't feasible.

blows my mind when i read some of the posts that go up here like the other day I saw one about how someone activates or pays for insurance 2 months before the new phones come out, has it 'stolen' around the time of launch, and then has the insurance replace it with a new one. Then would sell the 'stolen' one because every year for the past 7 they got lucky and found it. wish I could find it but some people have no integrity.

You see ones all the time about how to get applet to replace it for free because they got a scratch on their phone or whatever...
Lol. Yeah. I was part of a thread recently where the person was expecting the forum to give advice On how he could take a 6 plus in to Apple that had "always acted funny" and have then replace it with a 6s plus.

Apple still has the best customer repair and replacement in the industry, but they've had to get a lot more strict, which is a shame. A few bad eggs ruin it for everyone. It's the reason we have laws lol.

Think I saw that one actually lol

That guy was ridiculous. Damaged his phone then expected to get a recently released phone as a replacement.

Totally agree, it's a striking color. My wife - who knows a thing or two about color/fashion/design - said, clearly it's rose gold and not pink.

(We just got to unbox this morning, so seeing it for the first time in person)

I'm glad I got this colour. It's so beautiful.

Still waiting for my 6s+ RG but having a chance to play around with a Gold 6s+ and RG6s this weekend. First impressions:

- super fast processor and Touch ID

- 3DTouch - I WANT IT ON EVERYTHING

- camera is fast and good especially low light (selfie flash is crazy good)

- Rose Gold is a weird combo between pink/copper and varies much depending on lighting (I like it)

- haptic engine MUCH better than previous vibrator motor (feedback is so precise and evenly distributed across the entire surface of phone)

- Live Photos will take some getting used to

- wish there was a 3DTouch info page in the setup process with more info

- 3DTouch camera icon on Lockscreen better be coming soon

- really solid upgrades overall

Now I just need my RG to be here yesterday.
All these reasons above is my reason for purchasing the 6s plus.

I was totally using the 3GS up until I got my 6S Plus lol. That's my "in between" phone whenever I sell last years model. 2 1/2 weeks of torture! Gonna have to retire it this year.
Ah yes, those were simplified cell phone times. I think the 3GS had a compass upgraded to the undeletable Apple Apps section, and we were able to record video that year. Look how far we've come iPhone, look how far...

All along I thought I'd placed an order for a silver 64gb 6s+, and then on Delivery Friday a gold 64gb 6s+ shows up. I was all "Apple messed it up", but didn't mind because I was 50/50 between the two colors anyways.

Then I happened to look at my order a little later and realized I had indeed ordered the gold. File this under "Perils of ordering at 3am when not fully awake..." >.>

Anyways, after using it for a little over a day it's absolutely fantastic. 3D Touch, live photos, always listening Siri, the sheer raw speed of it all...so much to love.

Yes! And the landscape texting along with the pic messaging lol. I remember with the 3G you could only email pics lol!

Loving my 6S. Beautiful device with an amazing camera. I got the silver one and it's beautiful, especially with this light blue wallpaper its rocking

I absolutely love my 6S. After going a year with a gold 6, I feel much more at home with the Space Grey (first time I had a white phone). I love that it feels a little heftier - the iPhone 6 felt so thin and slippery. This one doesn't. I love 3D Touch. I can totally see this being useful throughout iOS when more apps support it. The cameras are a nice improvement. While Live Photos aren't for every moment, I can see them coming in handy for special memories.

Touch ID is ****ing fast. Too fast. Sometimes I like it, sometimes I don't. The phone definitely feels zippier, probably because of the 2GB RAM and A9. Hey Siri hands free is cool. Wish Siri was more integrated but I prefer privacy/security over more features.

Overall, I love it. This is my first S upgrade (4->5->6->6S) and I can tell that S upgrades are like refinements of the previous model. I might just be stuck in the S upgrade cycle now. Why own a half-baked product? Haha.

One of my favourite reviewers confirms more heat on the new iPhones, faster boot times, weight/dimension differences not occur, 3d touch works with screen protector :p ), and SAFARI doesnt reload at last. Rose cold is pretty decent too.

In this thread, share impressions and photos of your shiny new 6S in the wild. :)
I am very glad I traded my 6 Plus (128) for a new 6S Plus 128. Comments...

Cameras much better quality both the 12 MP and the selfie front facing (love the flash of the screen for illumination). Love the colors in the 12 MP rear camera so far they are very good looking as advertised.

The phone is blazingly fast in my own use and experience, the extra ram, faster A9 really improve it

And I had no idea how good the new fingerprint recognition interface would be:
1) It is very very fast, almost instantaneous with finger on, phone open. Wow
2) Paying with apple pay it is so fast that the checkmark is almost gone before I see it, and the ding of acceptance quick
Apple Pay setup a breeze on this phone (others note this also) something about the security of the new 6S leads to instant acceptance of my cards unlike with my 6 Plus and also when I did major upgrades

3D is interesting, I like it, Taptic engine is very noticeable, love some of the 3D features especially the ability to go into a touch motion on the keyboard to move cursor around in words, sentences. That will be very useful.

Live photos are cute still not sure how I will use them but neat additional feature. And when you copy to photos and put cursor over them they still are live interesting.

the combo of my new 6S Plus and the latest 9.1 beta actually eliminate some bluetooth issues with my Mazda connect. So it seems it is a software/hardware issue that appeared with 9.1 first beta. Others note this also.

although a bit heavier not a major issue.

fits my 6S cases so far (but only had two)

No major issues with retrieving my archival setup/backup and Itunes on my macbook pro. Works well with itunes

Just setting mine up.

Defiantly feels heavier than the 14grams.

Live Photos - meh. Gimmick doubt I'll ever use it

Camera : nice improvement

Battery is what I'm most interested in, need a few days.

So far, but I am also using 9.1 beta 2, battery life is very good even with a slightly smaller battery the lower energy use of all the 6S components shows for me so far. Of course I had less issues with the betas and number 2 of 9.1 battery life was good on my 6 Plus

just curious, but which cases? my two from Spigen didn't quite fit. the buttons on either side didn't reach. Incipio's current 6 Plus cases won't fit as well, and they even suggest waiting for their 's' versions. but their cases are pretty snug.

For those with a Space Gray version - is your outer camera ring polished silver or matte black? My 64GB SGray is matte black. Apple's website shows a polished/reflective service for all colors/storage options.
