I had 11 pro max and was fine but I feel like the 12 pro with the apple leather case and clear case felt to big... im wondering if there is a thinner case. I keep thinking about going to the pro but I dont know I like the screen size but not the size with the case .
The don’t use a case. Dilemma solved ;£

“Hand shuffle” ...

what? Do people forget Reachability is a feature?

I’d wager most have no idea what ‘reachability’ even is in their settings that they can enable. Think about it for a second, consumers can barely find out how to navigate the settings menu for an iOS update unless Apple highlights a ‘Red icon‘ indicating otherwise where to find it.

I have a hard time swiping down with my thumb one handed correctly so I just added the back tap gesture in accessibility to trigger the reachability. Much easier for me. I’ve small hands but fat fingers so large screens are my best option

One thing that surprised me the most going from the 11 Pro Max to the 12 Pro Max is how much screen real estate was actually added. For the first time since widgets were introduced, I’ve actually got a stack of Calendar, Battery, and Weather widgets on my Home Screen now and I don’t hate it. Weird, I know.

I also noticed I stopped hitting backspace randomly when composing messages. The slightly wider keyboard is A+ to me. I’ve sent dozens of texts today and not a single one had a “b” or an “n” after a sentence. I’m quite happy.

I’m so torn on a color, how are you liking the Max so far

I didn't think the Pacific Blue was as nice as the blue in the non-Pro versions so I played safe and went for Pro Max in graphite. I also thought the graphite looked better in cases (I was planning to go case-less this year but decided on a case. Having seen the many user photos, I think I prefer the Pacific Blue now!

Seeing so many people say they prefer the mini has made me wonder if the Max is going to be too big. My delivery is due today so I will see how the Max fits in the hand and the pocket. I may swap for the Pro and will probably get the Pacific Blue instead.

Shame Apple don't have the various models on display once they're announced. It might save a fair few returns!

Very happy so far, as great as it was using android as daily i missed my iphone. Not much difference from 11 pro max but didn’t need to be. Let’s face it i won’t be taking loads of photos working from home but it’s nice to have that camera when i need it.

Anyone having an issue with iTunes not recognizing the pro max? I like backing it up to my iMac. All updated software, using usb to lighting. It reads my XS max but not my new Pro. Cant figure out the issue? Could it be the phone?

My Pro Max is on the way on Monday coming from an XS Max. What kind of camera advancements can I expect? Also with battery?

Well after years of being caseless I’ll have to get one for 12 pro max for these sharp edges.

The only annoying part really is that Apple has spent years perfecting this only to regress back to iPhone 4/5. Let’s hope this flat edge mess is short lived.

5g is great to have but probably depends on your area. I see differences in photos more so in low light. As expected.

The huge difference is hdr video. I’m not sure why this isn’t highlighted more. This is why I upgraded but the concern is that we’ll be the only ones to see see the difference until this hdr standard is more universal.

Oh well guess I better get used to a case again. It has some pros to it as you don’t have to baby as much. Cons is it takes away something. The edge to edge screen isnt as impressive with a case. And of course it makes for a bigger phone. But I could also see going back to iPhone 11PM and waiting 10 more months. Guess I’ll take more videos today. Lol

Yesterday I received my 12 Pro Max. I’m coming from an iPhone XS Max. It’s definitely larger and heavier, so keep that in mind.

The camera is certainly a bit better, but don’t expect the camera to replace your DSLR; they’re not there yet.

Apart from the camera, the most noticeable performance difference comes in battery, with this phone having lasted me an extra hour and a half than the XS MAX.

The biggest disappointment is the lack of 120hz, particularly at this price point.

Unless you really need the upgraded camera, or a new phone, wait another year.

the 12 Pro Max is really big and thanks to the sharp edges more difficult to grab than the 11 Pro Max.
Still I am happy with my choice - the mini has some charm, but more as a secondary phone.

Just added a size comparison 11 vs 12 ...
(it seems the 11 is brighter than the 12)

Is there really that much difference in backlight brightness??

Upgraded to a 12 Pro Max from a 6S Plus. The 12 Pro Max is just a smidge larger, but I'm very happy overall. The camera is outstanding.

Same here, 6s Plus to Pro Max. I can't get Face ID to open my phone. It seems to work ok other places, like in 1Password. Otherwise, a very nice iPhone.

I had the Xs Max. Then opted for the 11 Pro. Now I'm back to the 12 Pro Max. The phone is massive but that large screen is so nice to have. I love the updated/retro redesign.

Got my 12 Pro Max Pacific Blue yesterday. Had the 11 Pro Max, which will now go to my daughter.

It‘s beautiful and I’m having no problems, using case free right now since I was dithering around trying to decide which case I wanted. Display is perfect, set up was much faster than I remember from last time, even when downloading my 29k photos and videos - LOL.

Design is reminiscent of one of my all time favorites - iPhone 4.

Picking up MagSafe charger at Apple this afternoon. Can’t wait for the dual charger to come out, that charges watch too.

In spite of the disdain around here, Apple will sell a ton of the MagSafe Duo chargers. For me, it'll be a great minimalist bedside charger and a great travel accessory (should I ever travel again).

Hey, im wondering if anyone can help me. I purchased a 12 pro on launch day at best buy (never again) and I went over to the apple store today and saw the Max and ... wow. It is stunning. My dad is willing to take my 12 pro and I can use his upgrade for the 12 max. I was wondering if anyone has every swapped devices with someone on their account. If it helps, I’m with Verizon. Is it as easy as restoring each device and then setting them up after the sims have been swapped?
I do it every year... give my current phone to daughter, and trade or sell her current phone (which was mine two years ago).

Here’s info from Verizon on how to do:

I pay no attention to the disdain around here. I’m an adult, I don’t whine or need to express all my rage behind a keyboard, and I don’t need others telling me how to think or making decisions for me. 😉

For anyone who received their phone on Nov 13, when did you order?

Trying to gauge Apple’s integrity here: I ordered my green 12 mini 256gb at ~5:10am on Nov. 6... and was only that late because the Apple Store was late... Anyway, both checkout and confirmation said Nov 13 delivery... then on Nov 13, Apple delayed delivery to Nov 23, with zero warning or explanation... and, now today, they delayed it again to Nov 25...

Apple sent the cases early, conveniently before the return window was extended. 🙄

Also, what recourse should I be seeking from Apple?

Thanks!

I‘m not sure what you mean by gauging integrity? I ordered my phone around 10am ET on 11/6, phone arrived yesterday. I think I got one of the lesser demand ones since I went with the 512 GB.

I’ve pre-ordered practically every iPhone, every watch, many of the computers, etc. Never had any thought that my dealings weren’t being handled with integrity. My Apple Watch, due next week, was pushed back a couple of days but I assumed that was due to the hurricane, since I got the notice during the storm.

Have you checked to see if your desired model is available locally? If so, cancel your order and go buy. Have you reached out to Apple to find out what is up with your order? Could it be an issue with the delivery co (UPS) rather than Apple?

I have the blue max with 512gb. It is fantastic. I am moving from an X that was showing its age. No it’s not too large and no there’s no yellow tint. Jesus
