As far as jeans front pocket-ability, I'd say they just did.

... BUT: I've not held one yet - I shall reserve judgement until then. (not that it matters, if the 2015 iPhone 6s (or whatever it's called) is the same size, I'll probably buy one anyway.

I'd bet there was a long discussion about how many people really want a big phone and how many want a smaller phone and the 6 was considered a happy medium that will piss off the least of the later while grabbing market share from the former.

I thought previous generation phones didn't vibrate strong enough so happy to hear it's been improved. In my Tech21 case, I can't even hear my 5 vibrate when it's sitting on the table in front of me.

Screwed by Apple

Well it was bound to happen, but no reason for it. Been a huge Apple fan for decades. They screwed up my iPhone 6 order I placed at 3AM on 12th, was suppose to deliver today. I'm currently in the black hole of procedures to resolve. 4 calls to order support and still run around. They have been releasing these things every year you'd think they would have worked out the bugs on ordering! What knuckleheads!

(Not meaning to sound like a smartass, but..) if you want to hear your phone wouldn't it be better to turn on the ringer at minimum volume, rather than rely on the vibration? The vibration sound is going to vary greatly depending on the surface the phone is resting on.

Was on an office party today and sure enough, two guys had the new ones already, a 6 and a 6+ and I fondled both of them thoroughly. Both handsets feel smaller than they look and they're a joy to hold with the rounded edges. And both of them only rock (because of the protruding camera) when placed on a flat surface and when you hold it down on the top, above the screen or really apply lots of pressure.

Also the sleep button doesn't rattle and the home button has a nicer feel than on the 5S (everybody had iPhones 5S there to compare it to). Gotta say, perceived quality went up a few notches.

Regarding pocket-ability of the 6+, I wear Levi's 510 W30L32 (that's skinny Jeans on a skinny person) and the 6+ doesn't stick out at all in the side pockets, it does stick out about half an inch on the back pockets when I walk though.

anyone with the 6plus

can you confirm if you can portrait lock the springboard only?

Why couldn't you? Unless you are asking if you can lock the springboard even while your orientation for apps is unlocked...?

Sometimes I wish there was a super easy way to temporarily unlock the display just to show a video or pic. You'd think that control panel thing would be easy, but it's usually a hassle

How are you sure that it won't arrive today? Is your Apple account not even showing that you ordered or something?

yes that is what I was asking, lock the springboard to portrait but apps still are unlocked and switch orientations normally

the vibration noise is a moot point since most people have their iPhones wrapped in some sort of case. unless you just use a rubber bumper, i doubt you'll notice the vibration noise any more than your current iPhone

I work in a noisy environment (datacenter) and often miss a call on my iPhone 4S. I can't hear (or feel) the calls.

If the 6 vibrate more .. say 3 on the Richter scale, I won't complain ;)

can someone confirm who has higher capacity iPhone 6 plus if it comes with iWorks apps pre-installed? i hope not.

Was too lazy to wake up at 3am. I hope that I won't regret it, and see the Plus in the store sometime in December.

3am wouldn't have helped you anyway. I got the at 3pm yesterday and just barely managed to get a Plus.

Be glad you didn't order from T-Mobile

Chop chop developers... Let's fix these apps quickly :)

A lot have submitted on the first day allowed and haven't been approved yet. Apple needs to speed it up.

Doesn't appear to be a way. The lock will persists to the apps as well. Will have to wait for JB.

Mine did not. It did however show up as a pending update but was not on the phone. Have not seen that before.

@MrCrowbar
BUT... Could you comfortably sit down, walk or drive with the 6+ still in the pocket or is it a requirement to remove it? Same question for both front pocket and back pocket. I wear same size so thanks for the reference and helping shape my decision until I can get to an apple store to compare.

When you have a job and are in a meeting, people tend to frown upon that.

Why did you fondle the guys with the iPhones?
