Nice...that's going to feel like a moster upgrade from A5 to A8 in terms of performance - congrats..:p

It's definitely smoother, but surpassingly not as much as I thought. I think iOS 8 needs an updated because some of the UI can still be jagged. I never had that on iOS 5 when I first bought my iPhone 4S.

Since the A8 has 6 times the graphics power of the A5 I assume it's all software.

I tried the 6+ but I only have large hands not gigantic. Found it way too big - two handed phone. Just wasn't comfortable. It's like a mini iPad Mini with voice.

Glad I chose the 6.

The 6+ would be an excellent choice for an iPad / iPhone combo.

3am wouldn't have helped you anyway. I got the at 3pm yesterday and just barely managed to get a Plus.

I think if you go to a corporate store (far away from apple store) you can be first in line and get one of the 3 Plus in the store.

I literaly have had no lag at all with my 6, I am literally jumping through thousands of photos on my 6 in Photo so dam fast with no lag at all, tapping and pointing on everything, I have not experienced any lag at all on my 6 , the A8 screams beyond belief and I actually do notice a performance difference even between the A7 which is also really fast

I have the iPhone 6 Plus / Gold 128GB and yes it is more a gold colour. The vibration complains are ridiculous. Its a vibration motor. The old iPhones used a different type, these ones are more advanced, plus they are also used for haptic feedback too I think. Sick of whingers - get a life.

Love my iPhone 6 gold, so slick. Everyone at my job was drooling all over it.

Went to the At&T store to check out the 6+, very nice and the size is not big at all ( im an android user who used the LG G Flex, 6 inch phone). There was still people in line at 7pm.

the vibration noise is a moot point since most people have their iPhones wrapped in some sort of case. unless you just use a rubber bumper, i doubt you'll notice the vibration noise any more than your current iPhone

Wrong. I have a rubber bumper on my 6 and the vibration is pretty jarring and loud.

On my 6+ it doesn't seem louder, just different. Sounds like "buzz." Higher frequency. When it's in my pocket I can't hear it with ordinary background noise, just like all my prior iPhones. Sitting on my desk in a quiet office, definitely a noticeable difference, but I wouldn't say it's "loud."

Finally got to the Apple Store today to see and hold them in person.

6 Plus looks nice but is far too large to be practical for me. Too big for the gym, too big for running, and too big to fit comfortably in many of my pairs of jeans.

The iPhone 6 on the other hand felt perfect in hand. Excellent size and lightweight. Too bad landscape mode is 6 Plus exclusive. Gold looked a lot better in person than the pictures online. Space Grey 6 is much better looking than the Space Gray 5S.

Pocket - not bad - hand? HUGE!

I'm on a 4 still, so I've been dying for the update. REALLY want the 6 Plus because of the BATTERY (and the landscape mode features!)

Popped into the store, put the phone in my jeans pocket.. not too bad at all.

Tried playing with apps one handed.. dropped it on the table.

I'm frustrated by how badly I want and don't want a 6 (or plus) all at the same time! Even after dropping the plus - I still want that battery life.. just feels like I'd be playing with fire!

So would it be better to wait until Apps are updated for the bigger screen to upgrade my phone?? I have a 4S right now so if Apps are "blurry" on the iPhone 6 I would really notice that coming from the 4S to a 6.
Not all the apps are blurry! The optimised ones look amazing, Things will get updated pretty quickly!
The jump from 4S to a 6 will be outstanding.
I was so shocked by the size of the 6 Plus initially but now it feels so natural and I don't think I could ever go back!

Chop chop developers... Let's fix these apps quickly :)

I still use a number of apps that haven't been updated for a long time and probably won't be. Some don't even have iPhone 5 widescreen support. I had found that some work, some don't. And even the ones that work probably will remain "blurry". This is the one big drawback to upgrading, unfortunately.

The iPhone6 is the first large screen phone I have held that I loved. It's perfect, and I am glad they largely maintained one handed usage. Glad I didn't go for the 6+

Reeder is a great example.

We will start getting updates a plenty soon. Facebook is Unopimized and Twitter is optimised. You can tell by the header bar with the signal and battery strength indicators. It's twice the size on FB and other apps.
The Unopimized apps look a bit bloated definitely.

Really the apps don't look all that bad. Honestly it reminds me of a lot of how Android apps sometimes look.

Can't wait for devs to optimize though. Will be cool to see what they come up with given the awesome functionality of iPad apps.

Well certainly a hugely successful day for Apple once again, finally here with larger screens, I find it ironic as it was only a few years back being shouted down and even kicked off of MR for wanting a large screen and arguing the point for one..
No one ever complained about large screens, they are nice. What we don't want is large phones.
Why don't you understand?

Still waiting for the 6+ like million others ...

Still waiting for the 6+. In the meantime, updated my 5 to iOS8 and hopefully it'll be iOS8.01 when my 6+ comes in. :)
