Had mine about 4 hours now. Coming from a XS Max, 0.2” feels like more of a difference than it sounds. 11 Pro Max users are used to the weight, but some XS Max or earlier Plus users might find 6.7” + more weight a bridge too far. I’m cool with it though.

My cases delivered on Tuesday and they are BIG Lol, but like you said... I’m cool with it. I don’t want a small iPhone. Been rocking the big since the 6S Plus. Bring it on.

Mine was processing till today. It actually shipped on the 8th. They are not good with the updates this time. So far behind. Waiting for my plain Jane Graphite MAX.
And since when was your card charged? Mine was charged since Nov 6 but the delivery date is on Nov 20, also was processing till today but changed to “preparing to ship”.

Bugger. I did their finance, which took two days to get done because apple had no staff available. Which turned a 4 day wait into a three week wait (12 pro max for wifey)

Can I setup without updating to iOS 14.2 ?
If your current phone is on 14.2, and you want to transfer its data to the new one… I don’t think so.

Not sure if it’s a different story restoring from an iCloud or iTunes backup. Been too long since the last time I set up a new phone that way for me to remember.

I'm starting to think that I shouldn't have ordered the Max. I just wanted the best camera system you can get in an iPhone, and maybe even in any phone. The last big iPhone I had was the iPhone 6 Plus, which was the first big one from Apple. It was the worst iPhone I ever had, mainly because it only had 1GB of RAM and the UI would freeze and stutter a lot and apps would crash. I think it could barely run that 1080p display. But also because reachability wasn't as good back then, and there was no option to shrink the keyboard for one-handed use. Hope this one is better.

I also kinda wonder if in a few years they'll be able to fit the same camera system into the regular iPhone Pro, kinda like how only the Plus iPhone had dual lenses at first until they could shrink the internals down to fit more.

Anyone else planning to try 5G, and then turn it off? Don't see the need for it sucking my battery all day. Is it possible to setup an automation to turn 5G back on if you're away from home? Otherwise I don't think there will be much speed improvement where I live. I'm most looking forward to having a Qualcomm modem which means I'll probably get a stronger T-Mobile signal.
