Congrats! I got mine this morning too! However I’m noticing a blue shift on my display when even tilting it slightly down. This doesn’t happen on my 11 Pro Max.

Are you noticing a blue shift when tilting the display or degraded viewing angles sooner than expected?
Same issue with regular 12 Aus model. Blue / green shift with only the slightest tilt. Visited store. Display models were good, put one either side of mine and you could tell it was off (all had True Tone and nightshift off, same brightness. Tried max and 50%). Returned it and the replacement is the same. Coming from a well kept iPhone 7 with LCD, it’s a bit of a bummer to see it change with the slightest tilt, but the colours in general are great and along with the deep blacks = so much better. Can only notice if most of screen is white. Not sure if it’s worth going back again to ask what’s up, as the colours are fine, can’t tell unless your on the white setup screen or a bright website.

Got my mini to try today. Decent. Small and very nicely built. My screen is really yellow though. I’ll see because the 12 pro got less yellow after about a week.

Following New Zealand and Australia, ‌‌iPhone 12‌ mini‌ and 12 Pro Max sales will begin in the Middle East, Europe, and then North America.

Uhhh, there's a few other countries with a few more people who got the iPhone after Australia and before the Middle East and Europe. You know, small ones like Japan...China...India... no big deal...

living in New Zealand and Australia is much better than here. They handle COVID like PROS

NOT HERE

seriously thinking of living in Australia. better healthcare. better everything

No huge Debt hanging in their future.
Australia is a great country, I've visited and have friends who live there.

But its not without its problems. Racism is also an issue there, like in the US. Things are noticeably more expensive there too. Like the iPhone. Don't get me wrong, great place overall, but not perfect. Also everything is literally trying to kill you. Snakes. Spiders. Drop bears. Etc.

ok glad I wasn’t the only one! I am picking another up on Sunday, am going to see if it is improved or not and then return whichever one is off. It sucks there are displays like this out there

If anyone with a 12 mini and a 6/6S/7/8/SE2 can check this, I want to know if the width of the screen (just the screen, no bezels or body, just pixel to pixel screen) is the same on both, or the 12 mini screen is actually narrower by few pixels. Again, just the screen, not the body or bezels.

What color did you guys pick for 12 Pro Max? I couldn’t decide which color between Pacific Blue and Gold, so I ordered both.

Yeah best you all stay away lest the drop bears get you!

Got my iPhone mini in Australia today. Blue 64GB. Feels a lot like my old iPhone 4. I remember going from 4 to 6 Plus and thinking how enormous the keyboard was. Now it’s taking me a while to re acclimatise to the smaller keys after a few years on the XS.
love the smaller size though and much lighter than the XS too.

Anyone would think the mini was a more recent version of the 5/5S/SE line!

Such a similar size, weight and style. But the screen is far bigger. I've been comparing it side by side with my SE 2016.

The blue is surprisingly different in different lighting. It's all over the shop. Do not let one photo or video of it sway you either way about it. It looked deep and dark earlier in late afternoon but now more washed out and smoky with only nighttime room lighting. A weird effect, but it's just fine with me.

The size, weight and hand feel are like perfection. I still have the case from my old Sony Z5 Compact which I thought was the perfect size and it fits in with the exact same width but 5mm taller and quite a bit thinner. Wow. But I see what people mean about having scope to be a little thicker for a bigger battery.

I'm about to do setup.

I got the blue. It’s pretty cool. IMO the rear frosted glass let’s the gold down. It’s more of a cream but maybe you will like that.
I had a hard time deciding between graphite and Pacific Blue. In the end, heart wanted Pacific Blue.
Yellow is my favorite color, but Apple does not make a yellow flagship iPhone. I had gold iPhone 5s, black iPhone 6, then gold iPhone 6s before switching to a white/stainl iPhone XS Max. White is not my choice this year because its frosted glass makes Apple logo disappear. I like gold side, but I don’t like its back because it looks like cream. Maybe, I stick with Blue because its subbed blue back looks elegant.

So, Order online was "sold out" and had to wait until beginning of december to get one.

However, went over to the apple store 5 min from my home and picked it up there instead.

it looks nice.. feels nice (I loved my 5S but was to small)

I'm now switching back from oneplus to the apple world.

TBH, really, every youtuber and reviews has said it was big and clunky. "Beware it's a beast" and so on. I mean.. seriously? what phones has people been using? I respect if you think it's big but it's not that it makes a big difference. it might be a couple of mm bigger than my oneplus6 but that's about it.. nothing really that popped into my mind "oh... my... god... this is too big". it almost feels identical to my oneplus 6 that is more than 2 years old.

But yeah.. i give it to the reviewers that if you come from a small SE phone or something in that size its a big phone. but does those people usually switch to a bigger size with this much of a difference?

Overall i'm happy with the build quality and i'm not disturbed about the weight either. Time will tell if i need a new belt for my jeans though :D

Picked up the graphite.. same boat as most of the people, couldn't decide between the graphite or the blue but ended up with graphite because.. black phones are classic and it looks so sleek :)

Happy hunting everybody and hope you are as happy as I am when you get your phone..

Now.. back to getting used to ios

@Daiken If you’re used to big Android phones like OnePlus ones, yeah, you might not notice it. But if you’re an iPhone user and prefer compact sizes like the regular iPhone 6/7/8, or even the X, yes, you will notice the huge size of the 6.7” Pro Max. Even with an iPhone 11 Pro (5,8”) I was able to stretch my thumb upwards and activate notification centre or control centre with the same hand I was holding it. Now with the regular 6.1” iPhone 12 Pro it is almost impossible (running the risk of slipping the phone), and with the iPhone 12 Pro Max you cannot operate it that way. Unless, of course, you use both hands each time you need to use your smartphone. I’m a one handed iPhone user so the mini is ideal for me.

Reachability is useful and can help but I don’t see myself using reachability all the time.

I'm in Austria, not Australia, and I'm holding my golden Pro Max in my hands.
This thing is BEAUTIFUL. And HUGE!

Can't wait to activate it (but will wait a bit, it's ice cold from the delivery van)!
