Explain me how did a guy in Romania get his hands on an unreleased Apple product?

He's saying that someone gave him the phone , so no embargo . Anyways Apple doesn't really have "influencers" partners within Romania . Is just the way it is.
Why would anyone give him the phone in the first place?

Apple's iPhone 12 mini and the iPhone 12 Pro Max aren't set to be available until November 13, but a Romanian YouTuber got his hands on the iPhone 12 mini and showed it off today, offering a size comparison between the iPhone 12 and the 12 mini along with going over some of the device's features.

The iPhone 12 mini is identical to the iPhone 12 in design and functionality, but it has a 5.4-inch display size instead of a 6.1-inch display size and it has a smaller battery inside. All of the other features, including processor, camera setup, and 5G connectivity are the same.

The video is in Romanian and no subtitles are available, but it does offer a look at the iPhone 12 mini in hand so those planning to purchase can see it out in the real world.

Apple will begin accepting pre-orders for the iPhone 12 mini on Friday, November 6 at 5:00 a.m. Pacific Time, with the first of those orders set to ship out on Friday, November 13.

Update: It appears that the original video has been removed from YouTube at this time, but a comparison photo is still embedded at the top of this article.

There’s an English language video of iPhone 12 mini

How does Apple have the power to pull the video down. It's an unreleased, but announced product. There's nobody revealing any secret information. It's essentially a scaled down iPhone 12.
My guess is it's because the phone has not even gone on sale. The same thing happened with iPhone X, a father and his daughter made a video showing the new iPhone a few days after it was announced and the father was fired from Apple for posting that video. The phone was announced, but nobody had access to it until November.

To those that don’t get why the mini exists (‘too small screen! Too small keyboard!’):

There are still loads of people out there who use their iPhones like most of us did about 10 years ago - ie as a useful tool that that they use sparingly.

They want a small lightweight phone with a modern iPhone experience that they can carry with them & forget it’s there - like we all did with the iPhone 4 etc.

If you don’t believe that there’s enough of those people - well Apple begs to disagree, obviously!

So with iphone 3Gs or iphone 4/5 your fingers didnt hurt ?
Haha. I loved those phones but hated typing on them for that reason: damn keyboards are too small. At the time I was coming from a Blackberry where tactile keys made all the difference even if they were small. I still make typos even on my 11 Pro Max but not as often as on the older, smaller models.

He says he's making the video because he wants to get it out be for American youtubers, because Apple just sends them phones, and not even the operators in Romania get them. And apparently hes got the hook up with a guy and thats how he got the phones

Holy moly I remember that! It was huge news at the time, at least in the tech world and for Apple especially!

Poor guy, but honestly he should've known better.

The perfect size iPhone. Cannot wait to order this.

Coming from a 7 Plus, I won't be losing much screen size and it'll still be a huge upgrade, plus it'll fit nicely in my pocket unlike my current phone
I'm very excited too. I wont't be getting one as I just got an SE2 but if they had put touchID on the power button I would've been all over this. I just hope this isn't a one-off small phone or gets treated like a second class citizen in future revisions.

No one wants to live in the type of world you are trying to create. Let people speak freely
Agreed. To all those xenophobic comments... Wake up please and get a hold of yourselves! That was hardly xenophobic! Was it really that offensive when it was clearly a joke? My goodness...

I’m also old school and could quite fancy typing one handed on a phone without stretching. I might not even need a loopy case or pop socket to type one handed...
