Changing glass to aluminum ,eliminating cameras failing to put in under screen, Face ID a smaller battery possibly
is this the dynamic design, which is gonna sell iPhones?
Doubtful

Apple is playing dajavu again, why on earth they got rid of the aluminium frame in the first place is up for conjuncture.

One just needs to look at the Macbook pro & the short lived removal of the Magsafe & HDMI ports back in the touchbar days.

Apple seems to be removing key features with cheaper alternatives that do not live up to consumer standards.

I am still using my 12 pro max, and love the premium feel of the aluminium frame. In contrast to the titanium frame which scratches & stains very easily.

Please make a design with round edges like the iPhone 11 Pro.

12 to 16 style is too harsh for the pocket and hands. And don't forget to bring three-48 mpx units which has already become a norm by Android rivals.
100% yes to this. So many iPhone users are saying this too. The flat sides we have now are terrible.

I assume you're trolling.

If not, you have an incredibly simplistic view of economics and running a business.

Low resolution thinking.
Your concerned that i’m correct and that Apple is fully eliminating Titanium because of high cost. Titanium was just a marketing gimmick like the Dynamic Island will be gone too.

By the way I know 100% for sure you don’t have a PH.D in economics so i’ll take your comments with a grain of salt 🧂

To be honest, I don’t really know, the information is pretty reliable.
Also this time last year we were laughing about a so called “capture button” that would be on all four 16s? Na.

So an iPhone redesign makes a lot of sense.

It’s not necessarily that big of a deal or unheard of. The 4S was glass and stainless steel, the 5 was glass and aluminum.
The first PowerMac G4 was titanium, the second was aluminum.
The first four versions of the iPod touch or stainless steel on the back, the fifth was aluminum.
Well, only time will tell ;)

Between this and tariffs, I might be skipping out on the yearly iPhone Upgrade Program this year. Would be the first time since the 5S, which was mostly because I was really distracted by our first child being born and buying our first house. Otherwise I’ve owned them all. The only thing I’m missing on the 16 Pro is a 48mp telephoto camera.

Can’t wait to see how Apple spins this one. “iPhone 17 Pro, now with Spaceship Grade aluminum. It’s the most magical aluminum we’ve ever put into an iPhone.” LMAO.

Even though Hua wei's OS will suck someone needs to tell them that Apple still owns the trademark to 'NEXT' in the software category when they purchased NeXT.

China doesn’t recognize intellectual property and patents. While it is technically possible to buy a Huawei phone through third parties in the U.S., they don’t sell very many. So it probably doesn’t matter.

So it'll look like a Pixel 8?

So Google makes their phones look like iPhone's and Apple wants to make their phones look like Pixel's? What a wacky world, must be End Times approaching.

Just a guess, but Russia and China are the major sources of titanium. Could be global politics/economics at play.

All smartphones are metal and glass rectangles. There's only so many permutations that are possible, and they've been around long enough that its not surprising we are at the point where they have to recycle designs.

Convergent evolution or something? Just like all sea life becomes crabs, all phones become...whatever this language is?

Yea how do you spin going back to aluminum as better than titanium? It’s been nice not having to worry about bending a phone since the iPhone 10 came out, keep the aluminum in cans, not my $3,000 smartphone.

My guess is if they do in fact go aluminum for all the phones it will be because of the tariffs, not that they wanted to but felt they had to.

I just hope they copy other smartphone manufacturers when it comes to camera layout. I still can't believe they've stuck with the hideous camera blob design since the 12 when I thought it was a joke in the pre-release images
Whose layout looks better and why does it matter? I just wish it didn’t stick out the back but that would mean garbage photos.

Since the iPhone X, the XR, 11, SE2, 12, 12 Mini, 13, 13Mini, 14, 14+, 15, 15+, 16 and 16+ have all had aluminum frames.
No bending.
Because again, glass doesn’t bend.

I'm not an american so excuse my ignorance; but why would the aluminium content affect the tariffs?
