British Fandroids. What else did you need to know?

No different to the Apple fanbois who praise this this me too device as revolutionary after the competition has been making 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch tablets for ages.

(I say tablets and not phones as these devices are really tablets).

Walt Mossberg and Jim Dalrymple are both toxic cancer on the tech industry. Well no that's a lie, toxic cancer is not as bad as those 2. Seeing their reviews advertised here near the top is just so so very wrong.

Endgadget usually have good reviews. So I'll read theirs. I don't see Anand tech on the list unfortunately, but he was bought out by Apple as we all know so that's unfortunate.

(I said are above because what I said is fact. If I had it my way they'd both be writing decently and not be so arrogant. I don't want to ignore them but this is something those 2 have done unto themselves.)

***************

On another note it's hard to believe and review that says things like this:
"The market has changed, and it was high time Apple did the same . . . Basically, Apple would be leaving money on the table if it didn't address this segment of the market."
I read on because reviewers make mistakes too. Just like the mistake in the endgadget review I quoted above. The mistake saying that Apple was right to make phablets.

I believe the site is called Engadget, NOT Endgadget.

I seriously don't know what the fuss is with this ram thing!!! I keep hearing that Safari crashes on the iPad air due to lack of ram! I have yet to experience such thing on my iPad air for over 4 months. Yesterday I made a point to try and load as many tabs on it as possible!! Switched between tabs, kept opening new ones, closing, browsing..... not a single problem!!

You may have not had a CRASH, but if you're telling the truth; you saw MANY reloads.... THAT'S why we want more ram.

Just because Anand doesn't work at AnandTech anymore doesn't mean AnandTech won't do a thorough review.

Anandtech take some time because they do a REAL review.

We will probably get the review this week or the next. I can't wait for the processor review as well.

Given the founder has moved to Apple, I can speculate some bias even in Anandtech's reviews. It would explain why Anandtech became very pro apple in recent times.

Its difficult to find very good non-bias reviews these days. I actually trust user reviews more. Come friday we will get some good feedback

That is very nice to know. They write some of my favourite reviews. Indepth and cut right through the ******** (most times) to get to the truth. This is one review I am waiting for.

Some of these reviews are all over the place when talking about battery life. i guess that goes to show how no two people use their phones alike.

Many of the reviewers also mentioned that these iPhones are the best smartphones period, which has me pretty excited for Friday.

Here's the image I posted earlier that was deleted because I didn't include any words. I felt words weren't required to convey the purpose of the image. That purpose was to share something I created that the MacRumors community might enjoy and get a laugh from. I hope this is enough words.

It's a nice work but you should have made the hand look even smaller to make a point ;)

It's really funny. Any review even slightly favorable towards Apple instantly means that the tech review site is biased.

Anand doesn't work at Anandtech any more and he was as non-biased as you can get in the tech world. He criticized Apple in areas he felt deserved criticism. As an example, read Anand's review of the first rMBP. He didn't like that the fact that Apple can seemingly influence Intel to drastically bump up the power of their integrated graphics but can't also influence makers to make user replaceable memory that would also fit in the rMBP.

Isn't it more likely that Apple has made great products in recent years and that they deserve praise, than to think the tech reviewers are biased?

I really doubt user reviews would change your mind more. They're more likely to be biased.

I don't think anyone is saying it is revolutionary because of the screen sizes! That's what fandroids would wan't you to believe! It's nothing revolutionary about screen sizes! Apple have been doing different sizes on different other products and these people who say Apple did copied screen size from the competition are ignorant. To be fair, Apple was doing fine with 4" and I think would have still continued to sell more then any single company if it kept the same screen size.

Except so many of the user reviews are shill reviews. It's impossible to know any more.

These reviews are all positive in my opinion. A few common gripes that Apple made the phones bigger but haven't optimised the operating system to take advantage of the larger real estate but I'm sure we'll see some of that in iOS 9.

I read that as well. The reviewer at Re/Code mentioned that Apple was aware of the bug and working on an update to fix it.

Oh no dubt it will get fixed in a future update, yet it just goes to show apple having the same issues as google when pushing so many pixels.

I don't think it's particularly fair to say the Plus is a fail due to the OS not being entirely tailored to it just yet. As you mentioned, Apple will iron out the kinks in the software imminently.

I don't think it's a fail, heck I ordered the 6 Plus and it's coming friday. I look forward to my giant phone :p

So... the iPhone 6 rocks around (on the camera) and it's better with a case, negating all the size savings. A leather case might feel pretty good though, other manufacturers have been making rubberized rear shells of a while now. The case solves the issue of the protruding camera and the unpleasant looking back of the phone I guess. Might have to try out that combo.

I didn't realize he 6+ screen was almost as big as the iPad mini. There's possible cannibalization there although the iPad mini is a lot cheaper. Personally I think of this when I see people make phone calls with their phablets:

This problem could very well be solved by talking into the Apple watch instead.
Dunno about the fitness apps though. A huge smartphone strapped to your arm while jogging is ridiculous...

SO if other do something simular to apple, they copy, if apple does the same it isnt copying?

What does it matter who copies who? Apple made once more a great phone, no doubt one of the best available why do you so desperatly want it to be unique and new and fresh ?
