Can anyone tell me what the 'predicted' resale value on an iPhone 6 would be exactly one year from now if I were to purchase (order) one this week? Let's say I bought it full price this month (no contract), would I get at least 50-60% back when I resell it one year from now?

I'd guess that 50% is a lock. But if you want to resell you better put that bad boy in a case so you have some nice, non-scuffed pictures to use a year from now. In the past, I believe phones have held more than 50% value over one year. You could easily get that 60%. But I wouldn't count on it for this year's phone. There are going to be too many i5 out there being resold flooding the low end market. So I think iPhone's will drop in value in the resale market. (Though not as much as Androids, which generally have less resale value.)

Some sites are truly shameless in their blind Apple worship, like The Verge. I mean its almost like they've never seen a big screen phone before! And why does no one take Apple to task for the huge top, bottom and size bezels? Phones like Note 4, G3 have bigger screens in a smaller body.

There's zero innovation, except for Apple Pay. Its literally just a bigger phone with updated internals. I bet that tons of hw/sw features were held back for the 6S/7 next year.

Its really frustrating to read reviews that seem like they came from the Apple PR dept with little in the way of actual facts or measurements or comparing to the competition, other than just gushing over how it made someone feel.

Because they know what's driving the bezel: the home button. I'll bet most people would take the bezels over the loss of the home button or some weird placement elsewhere. HTC One has large bezels and that generally got really good reviews. Oh and the Verge did call Apple out over the bulging camera lens and antenna lines. So it wasn't all gushing.

Direct quote from New York Times article claiming the regular 6 has better battery life than the plus:

"Call quality on the new phones is excellent and I found battery life on the smaller iPhone 6 to be impressive. I went almost two full days without a charge. Battery life on the iPhone 6 Plus is more like a day of constant use and not much more, but that’s not terrible on a phone that size."

This can't be right, Right?

Yeah. First review I read. That blew my mind. Then a I read other reviews and no one said anything like that. This must just be a typo and they got the models backwards.

Since I carry two phones and a tablet, battery life is nearly meaningless to me. So I'm not concerned and I will be getting the regular 6.

In the Verge's review of the iPhone 6, Dave Pierce walked by people waiting in line to get an iPhone this Friday while using the newest iPhone! :D

After reading reviews I'm very happy I went with the 6+, just trying to find a good case that I can get Friday or Saturday. Don't want scratches!

Yes you should be able to get 50% back next year. I'd say even more. You can try searching for how much a used 5s sells for right now. That should give you an idea.

Funny how one reviewer said it was to wide to reach across with on hand. Did they not know of the mode to move apps down the screen?

Anyway, im excited for the 6 battery life.

No one is talking about iPhone 6 battery life? I do have a lot of reviews to go through...

your reading comprehension is top notch. many reviews did mention negatives but it wasn't enough to take away from the overall experience.

Darn it all these reviews about the 6 Plus are making me second guess my decision to go with the 6.

Anandtech, where are you? Anxiously awaiting a REAL review.

I feel like the Anandtech review is not going to be as in-depth and meticulous as they have been in the past 'cos Anand himself isn't with them anymore, hopefully they prove me wrong!

Don't itemize... take it all in instead.

The reviews look at the entire product.... not simply a sum of its parts.

Everyone else says the opposite, though they both have a fantastic battery life. Top notch.

LOL I can see where you came from, but Apple sells user experience and that is what matters and being reviewed. Comparing specs with Android Phones is irrelevant. Different OS, different philosophy.
