WAIT!
The screenshot in the article. What does this Two year agreement mean?? I thought those were gone. Is this from somewhere outside the US the still does $200 up front, with 2 year agreement??

Same here. Ordered a "regular" black 7 Plus 128 GB and a gold 7 128 GB from the Verizon site--by the time I got it completed I was pushed out to 9/23. I have had Verizon under promise and over deliver before though, so I'm thinking there's still a chance that I get them next week.

This happened with my Apple Watch when it came out. I had a 4-6 week wait and then got an email that it would be arriving on launch day. Right now I'm supposed to be getting my 7+ 128GB Black during the week of 10/4-10/10, but I'm really hoping that Apple surprises me again. Has anyone else had this happen routinely?

Crazy how people are ranting and raving about the bad things about the iPhone 7, but it seems like preorders are going out pretty freaking fast... with shipping dates slipping WEEKS after literally 6 minutes of being available for preorder. Yeah, tell me more about how Apple has just signed their own death with the iPhone 7.

Have to say the packaging design of iPhone is rather rubbish for the device to just slip out so easily once the lid is lifted.

Saw an article titled:

The slogan for Apple’s new iPhone 7 translates into “This is penis” in Hong Kong

I'm nervous as my ship date changed from 9/16 to 10/4-10/10 while I was filling in the order. But my confirmation email, and when I look at the order online both say delivered by 9/16, but still processing. I just hope they don't change it last minute.

Completed my purchase at 3:15EST and my delivery is 10/14-10/28

Yeah, despite seeing the 09/26 - 10/03 delivery, I had a minor hiccup during my order that pushed me to 10/05 - 10/12.
At least now I'll be able to check one out at an Apple Store and cancel if I decide to wait another year.

Mine says Sept 27-29 on Apple.com. 7 plus black 256gb. Wife shows the same through AT&T with same phone except rose gold.

Man we got the same phone, same color, same storage, and same delivery date! Did you get a confirmation email yet? I didn't get one

I ordered through my daughter at an AT&T store. Jet Black 128g 7+ and the date for delivery is 10/28-11/4 lol

The good thing is that I get it for free by trading in an old 6 Plus. Only have to pay the difference for the upgraded memory. Charge about $6 a month.

Next up is the Nike AW2 42mm

My daughter said they are getting about 5:1 ration for Jet Black over any other model and all 7+.

I canceled my order with Apple direct and went via AT&T for a 256GB 7+ model, week earlier shipping time. I can wait, honestly the 6S+ is still crazy fast and will be for at least another year or two, just makes more sense to upgrade each year money wise.

That was a lot of fun. Lol. I don't know why it made me laugh so hard, but the irony was just too rich... then I felt bad for the guy.

Yeah, you can cancel, but I'm not sure at what point they no longer let you cancel (if there is one). You log on to the Apple Store, and go through the buying process and select in store pickup, it will then show availability at all stores in your area. You can then reserve it and pick it up during the 30 minute window you select.

Ya... He was kind of asking for it opening it so carelessly.

Just hours after iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus pre-orders opened, some customers in the United States have seen their orders move to the "preparing for shipment" stage with an estimated delivery date of September 16.

MacRumors readers that purchased their new iPhones through Apple, AT&T, and Verizon appear to be the earliest to see movement on their orders, but most pre-orders placed in the U.S. and abroad remain in the processing stage.

iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus pre-orders began at 12:01 a.m. Pacific Time today, and shipping estimates slipped to 2-3 weeks or later for most models in less than 20 minutes. iPhone 7 Plus models in Jet Black are most constrained, with new orders estimated to ship in November in the U.S., Canada, and many other countries.

Reservations will reopen on September 17 in the U.S., U.K., and Italy, while launch day reservations still remain available for select models in many other countries.

[doublepost=1473438389][/doublepost]I finally got Apple to answer through the Apple Store App 10 minutes after Midnight. I ordered an unlocked black 7+ 128 paying full amount and the app worked very clean and fast. I see that it ships in 6-8 business days but not receiving it until Sept. 27-29? I see others associated with a provider and paying in payments are getting theirs on the 16th, even though I sealed the deal earlier? WTF? Been loyal to Apple since my first Mac in 1985. Feel a little jilted.

First, you shouldn't use phrases like "bordering on psychotic" if you don't know exactly what they mean. I'm not bordering on psychotic, I'm giving frank criticism. I say lots of great things about Apple when they are warranted, see below just a few in the recent days.

The point is that the iPhone here in the video shouldn't have fallen out so easily of the package if the box was designed better. The customer didn't shake it, they simply lifted the lid with the box on a slight angle and the device fell out with little effort. A proper box should hold the device until you actually grasp to remove it. I've almost done it myself when opening packaging like this, I'm there are others too.

Here are a few recent comments were I was being positive:

Ordered 128GB 7+ Matte Black from AT&T. Said 9/23. However, last year, I had a later delivery date and they ended up delivering it a week early. So not to worry. After almost 10 years of iPhones, getting the next model becomes less and less of a thrilling experience and so I don't feel the need to always have one on launch date...especially when the designs have become more and more evolutionary and not so much revolutionary.

well, it technically isn't. it's about $30 more expensive over 2 years, but since i'm a college student, i cant afford to drop over $800 on a phone and case. my mom still pays my phone bill during the school year so it works out pretty well for me.
Actually it is cheaper, because after two years I can get nearly as much out of my old iPhone as I paid for it on contract.
