Heh! They want the Jet Black! When I showed my husband a picture of it, his response was: "Ooooh." I don't know if Apple could have made enough of them to meet demand.

But yes, I also think that dual camera is very much coveted and Apple will probably sell a lot more "Pluses" this year. But from what I'm seeing, the majority of buyers, 7 plus or regular, are going for that Jet Black. It's going to be the "must have" phone color for 2017 :D

I need to see this Jet black in person, but as far as I'm concerned,

glossy = tacky.

I was half drunk and couldn't work out what time pre orders started so I set my alarm for '3.59'am and the same every hour right the way through until it finally came live at 8am uk time.

Yes that's right, I woke up every hour to preorder this thing! However, I was then really lucky to check the App Store and it worked at 8am (website wasn't live until 8.05am).

Mine is preparing for shipment. Worth it! 128gb Black iPhone 7.

Has anyone with later shipping estimates received "preparing for shipment"? Because of some BS using the app I had to hit the back button once and then it pushed my time to Oct. 4th- Oct. 10th. So I'm just curious about the chances of people getting bumped up.

No order status available for me yet, but my order went in at 09:02:50 (9 hours ahead here), so I'm really hoping for launch day delivery.

That's EXACTLY what happened to me: bumped my 09/26 back to 10/05.
Of course I'm not complaining because it could be the ominous "November".

I woke up at 3AM EST. The iPad app did not allow me to order until almost 3:10.

I debated between a 128GB or a 256GB (using Apple's upgrade program had the price difference at $4/month) and bet wrong.

My ship date is October 4-10. Still processing at the moment.
It's one thing if you're late to the game. It's another when you're ready to order on time and it just... won't... let you in. Arghhh!

I went through VZW for the trade-in program. Placed order around 7:00am. 7+ 128GB and ship date was 9/28, which I was ok with.

But then I received an email saying my order shipped? Via USPS. Weird.

It takes too much time to set up the Apple Upgrade Program. If I just purchased, I'm sure I'd have a better ship date.

Also, the 256GB seemed to ship quicker as there were less people going for them. If you're doing payments, it's only $4/month more. There was really no reason for me to get the 256GB.

I ordered my iPhone 7 plus 256GB Jet Black got in the system early at 0258 EST order is being processed delivery date of 9/19 t0 9/26 Orders are first come first served so I hope being in the system early I get mine in good time. Almost forgot through T-Mobile

Still processing, but Citizens already shows a pre-authorization charge on my card...actually TWO of them. Shame that didn't change my ship date.

2h20m on hold and counting. They play the same damn song over and over.
Apple! You have Apple Music. Play more songs. And certainly not a song about waiting to die! "It's 11:59 and 59 seconds..." Over and over and over. Are you trying to drive your customers to suicide?

ikramerica did you get through yet? I finally did and I had the exact same "complete my order" experience as you with a little extra complexity added to the issue. I had the second passcode at AT&T turned on so I turned it off thinking that was the issue. (It had caused an issue 4 years ago for me.) Well then I got the onetime passcode without luck that time and then went through the same issue of it not resending. I then tried to reinstate my AT&T security passcode which worked for their website, but not for the Apple complete my order. So I called Apple repeatedly until I got through and was on hold for 20 minutes and then they couldn't login either. So they were going to call me back after an hour, while I called AT&T to get my passcode reset. That was a 45 minute call with 3 different operators. They ultimately had to push me a onetime passcode and then make that my permanent security code. Whew. So then I waited and waited. After 3 hours I called repeatedly called Apple again and connected with a 15 minute hold. They escalated twice and called me back 15 minutes later. This time I got a web programmer and he tinkered for 10 minutes and had me try it again and then it worked. He then said it was all due to network traffic. I am guessing he added more servers to that step of the process which was the add accessories page. So to make a long story short, try to complete your order again. It may magically work now.

Crazy how people are ranting and raving about the bad things about the iPhone 7, but it seems like preorders are going out pretty freaking fast... with shipping dates slipping WEEKS after literally 6 minutes of being available for preorder. Yeah, tell me more about how Apple has just signed their own death with the iPhone 7.
Oh don't worry, the naysayers will claim that Apple knew the iPhone would tank so they only made ten of each color, and that's why it sold out fast. They're like the MacRumors version of Grumpy Cat.

I got my Sept 16th shipment date for the iPhone 7 128 Black. I placed the order from the iPhone Apple Store app at 12:09 am PST. I received the "Complete Order" email at 3:27am. I tried to complete the order at 8am and finally finished at 1pm after 5 hours of attempting to complete the order and multiple phone calls to and from AT&T and Apple.

Ironically this may have been my best experience with buying a new iPhone. There has been an issue every time. At least I didn't stand in line for 12 hours to only have to get out of that line 30 minutes before reaching the front because I would have missed a flight. The things we do for technology.

I went on Apple’s website from 8:01 am (UK time) but the Apple store app and the website didn’t allow pre orders until around 8:10.

I ordered two 7 Plus’s both in black. One is 32 GB and is showing dispatched 6-8 business days, delivers 27-29 September.

The other is a 128 GB and is showing dispatched 2-3 weeks, delivers 4-10 October.

I’ve pre ordered the iPhone on Apple’s website since the iPhone 4s, and I’ve never seen pre orders done straightaway delivering later than the launch day.
