While iOS 14 is the first exciting release since Scott Forstall left Apple, macOS Big Sur is the most messy and questionable one. The worst one in the history of OS X. UI and UX is a disaster.
Wow, I hadn’t noticed the unfortunate initials for the new OS.I personally like the look of BS and I immediately loved the change from Mavericks to Yosemite.
Yes. But isn’t changing Energy Saver to Battery on desktops akin to putting a fuel gauge in a Tesla. It would be smart for all future Macs to have a battery — mobile and desktop. With an A-series processor inside, there's no reason why they can't.
My cpu is better then what is offered in mid 2014.. Only I5 in the 2014.. Mine is an I7 3.1GHz. Is the I5 a better/faster CPU?It's not just about specs. Each CPU has different "instruction sets", so your 2013 is likely missing something that Big Sur relies on.
Thanks. I hadn’t really given it much thought, but it never caught anything, pretty compelling evidence I don’t need itWHY are you installing Avast? Seriously! It's not needed. Unless you send and receive a lot of attachments between Windows users and you want to help them to avoid viruses? Save yourself the CPU cycles and leave that bloat off your machine.
Haha, yah when windows gets clear concise, non-obfuscated, professionally designed and easy to useIt's really surprising how much Apple seems to have been influenced by what Microsoft's been doing. They've even come around to the idea of building 'Refrigerator-Toasters'. For better or worse, it's almost certain now that Macs with touch input are on the horizon.

So pretty 😍 I can't believe how many people don't like the redesign
Agreed. Been using Macs since 1984, love them, but I feel I’m too old for this amateurish BS UI.While iOS 14 is the first exciting release since Scott Forstall left Apple, macOS Big Sur is the most messy and questionable one. The worst one in the history of OS X. UI and UX is a disaster.

For who already familiar with Deepin Linux (Chinese-made Linux distributions), this is almost coincidental.

I know some people aren’t digging how much it seems macOS is turning into iOS
So far, and a lot more. Can’t believe how many trackers get blocked. I’d love to get money for these scumbags tracking me. If they paid me, maybe I would like itBeauty is only skin deep! Let's see if Safari still has all the features we're accustomed to.

It looks better than the current macOS Big Sur beta, kinda sad, and yet some people love it......
My first thought was, "Why is the desktop empty?"
No SSDs or HDs. Did this change in Catalina?
I heard Scott Forstall is looking for a partner. 🤣No skewmorphism? I’m done.
Noticed that. Another reason I‘M worried about the death of the desktop OS. Bending over backwards to homogenize design language is the first step.Battery is replacing Energy Saver? My Mac Mini and iMac run off the wall. What Battery?
Just a monitor.View attachment 927305
It is a screenshot from MacOS 11 / Big Sur maybe some day for iPad Pro ore something look in the red circle the icon there looks like the iPad pro
There's still dark mode on Big Sur.Just got my MacBook Pro 13" 2020. Can't wait to get it upgraded to Big Sur. I like the new UI design but I still love my dark mode on Catalina. The new UI seems too bright.
There's still dark mode on Big Sur.
Can anyone confirm is Safari Top Sites is still present or has it been removed? I would hold off on upgrading if it is honestly...
