Serious question for all of you AirPod owners out there...you do realize that you look like you have what appears to be stringless tampons hanging out of your ears, when you wear these, don't you? It's quite hilarious!

I don't like the look of them but I don't really care. I find it hilarious even when people ride on the subway with a huge pair of headphones like they were recording music in studio.

I am really not that excited about a "Hey Siri" feature. My Apple watch has it and its super annoying when you say a similar sounding phrase in conversation to have Siri interrupt you and say she cant find the last two sentences you spoke on the web. For some reason I don't have this issue with "Hey google", perhaps something about the english language where there are more "Siri" sounding words than "google" ones?

Happens to me all the time! I say "eh si" that I can translate in "oh yeah" and Siri immediately interrupt me. I wish the activation phrase could be changed, I'd use "ciao Siri"

UPS teasing me with an arrival date of today.

I ordered 3 pairs. 1 pair arrives March 27th and the other 2 'with engraving' arrive mid-next week. Keep in mind the engraving adds additional time which is no surprise.

Arriving on Wednesday in the middle of the US. Looking forward to keeping this pair at work and my previous gen at home. I've spent way too much money on bluetooth headphones over the years, and the AirPods are the ones that fit me the best and are the most convenient. Convenience got even better with wireless charging.

These new AirPods look incredible. I'm especially looking forward to that H1 chip, improved audio quality and wireless charging capabilities. I can't wait to receive my order tomorrow.

I think the only improvement is in phone calls, but on the receiver's end. New AirPods should last longer during phone calls and and transmit clearer voice, but you shouldn't expect improvements in sound quality. They're also quicker to pair and to move between devices.
I think it is a good update, but I don't feel the need to update my first gen and I won't buy their expensive Qi case

Mine arrive Wednesday..

Semi-questionable upgrade, but will enjoy the wireless charging ability and can now go “wire-less” on my nightstand. Will also be able to gift my gen 1s to a family member who w I’ll be thrilled.

Am I alone in that I feel some people are missing the point/understating the benefits of Bluetooth 5.0?

For those who know better than I do - do we think will Apple make use of the benefits of 5.0 like dual audio, etc? The other benefits - lower energy consumption, better speed/range, etc are all inherent in the architecture of 5.0 I’d imagine.

Of course the obligatory mention of AirPower in the headline.

AirPower is nothing but an invention of the Russian intelligence services conjured up to prevent BREXIT.

What's funny is, people of all political stripes will interpret this comment as they see fit. It's just meant to be humorous.
Oh it's a terrific comment I assure you. Very appreciated. :D

Serious question for you, do you realize that green really is only in on st. Patrick's day?

I’m in the US and just got a shipping notice for 3/27. Can’t wait!

I’ve had my gen 1 pair for a year now. They’re still good but the battery capacity is noticeably in decline. They’ll be going to my wife (we held off buying another gen 1 pair for her in anticipation of the gen 2).

Looking forward to the increased talk time. I use mine a lot conference calls for work.

Mine shipped but no tracking information. It just says a label was created and no specific delivery date...

I think this is a clever idea. I might copy this because I’ll give my 1st gen to my wife & I'm still not sure how I could differentiate the two.

You must be a real Apple fanboy to be buying something that's way way WAY overpriced.
More than 200,- for some simple earbuds with limited features that don't even sound great with music. Let alone fit your ear without falling out. What are these fanboys thinking??

Paying top money for overpriced headphones with noise cancellation etc. I can somewhat understand. (I payed 380,- for a Sony headphones and even more for Studio headphones). But 200,- for a product that shouldn't cost over 100,- is just madness.

That’s your opinion. Others would think 380 (of whatever currency you’re talking about) might be a lot for headphones too.

Perhaps they don’t fit your ears well but they’ve sold an absolute boat load of them and people love them, so they’re doing something right. They’re convenient and easy to use and people will pay for that.
