23/11/2016 - 30/11/2016 for me.

Still annoyed. Purchased it almost immediately, had the 2-3 week time frame when I ordered. It took finance almost 24 hours to process (I got it interest free) which then pushed my order out to 3-4 weeks. :(

I feel your pain - the same thing happened to me with the original Retina MacBook Pro on launch day back in 2012. It's heartbreaking. To make matters worse for me - the day it was delivered I had to go to Germany for a week on business. Apparently it turned up 10mins after I left - so I had an extra week to wait for mine! I was in a batch quoting 5-6 weeks - but it was only 4. Once they get through the initial launch batch - they normally ramp up pretty quickly so i'm hoping for you it will be closer to the three week mark than the four week mark. #StayStrong

Clearly I do, I own the 2012 Mac Pro pictured and a late 2013 MacBook Pro. The last models that made any sense.
And you have no external gear? That would be surprising, in my experience...
That said, yes, I'm being argumentative. I'm just sick as **** of hearing the incessant bitching and moaning on Macrumors. Why do I come here, then. Good question...

Any order that is 2 TB 15 inch go to preparing for ship yet?

I ordered right after the announcement and it is still at "processing items " with the November 17-25 date.

Mine is 1TB + 460, and still processing as well.

Damn, good for you!

I thought CPU upgrade would be harder than SSD upgrade in the factory.

Mine is 1TB + 6700 + 460..

How long between the end of the Keynote and you placed the order? For me it's about 2 hours.

About an hour actually. I was on it! I don't need the TB storage. Really don't need 512GB TBH. I just wanted all the power LOL I would have preferred a quad-core 13" but I'll live :apple:

Cool, thanks for the info. That makes sense since you are in front of me in the line. I need to wait a little bit longer then. :)

I had a play with a new 13" today and I thought the screen was too bright and over stated colours of people and the Air had more true to life colour. My iPad pro has a better feel for natural colours. I'm not worried so much about the price I was planning on up grading my 3 year 6 month 13" Air but not now.

Hey man I totally understand your concern. Both points you mentioned can be adjusted in the system, so it is not too bad at all!~

I saw that. I was very impressed. I do really like the 15" model. But, the little things for me just, can't do it.

I was thinking it would have been nice if Apple somehow figured out a way to do some sort of physical function keys (maybe reprogrammable?) for touch typing, around where the ESC key was. Really the esc key thing is the real craw in my neck.

But having the possibility of upgrading my harddrives size/speed 5 years down the line if I wanted space, I could. such sort of upgradibility is always a big plus in my books.

Theres a hidden physical esc key that allways function as esc no matter what the touchbar displaying. All way to the left its a button same as the physical button on touch id

I just got sick people mention this again and again..

There are tons of methods to solve the ESC problem.

One example: we can map the Caps key to ESC without 3rd party software.

The argument has been made that, at least with touch typists, your gaze is almost always on the (main) screen. Having a touch bar on an external keyboard forces you to significantly shift your focus between the two screens, a problem that doesn't really exist on the laptop.

Another question is whether Bluetooth would be fast and secure enough to let the computer communicate with a touch bar and fingerprint sensor on an external keyboard. Then there is the fact Rome wasn't built in a day. Apple didn't roll out retina screen to all devices at the same time and the world did not come to an end (iPhone 2010, iPad early 2012, MBP, mid/late 2012, 27" iMac 2014, 21.5" iMac 2015). Unless you think Apple should have held back the release of MBPs until they also had a solution for the iMac or people using external keyboards with their laptops?

Well with a touch bar, i would actually think since its not a "press" or "click" but rather a tap, u'd be less productive, since when hear a click or press of a button u "know" somet8ing resgisters... with a tap, u have no idea but visually. therefore u'r gona look at the Touch bar more to see..

Or u could just be overjoyed by the many colors. :)

yes, and confuse the hell out of everyone..... We're trying to make it simple, not cause headaches..

Imagine a keyboard with all the key caps rearranged but no one told u which was which.. non one would get any work done on time

People keep saying the Apple SSDs are overpriced but compared to what? I think they are looking at SATA SSD drives and not PCIe 3 SSD drives. A PCIe 3 2TB SSD costs more than a $2000USD on Amazon, and that's a cheap one. Wow, would you look at that! Apple is actually selling it's SSDs for LESS THAN the going rate but nobody credits them for it.
Just FYI. That SSD that you linked (the Intel P3700 series) is in a separate league than the ones Apple are using in the new MBPs. Yes, Apple finally got on board with PCIe NVMe based SSDs (the ones in the 2014/2015 models were also PCIe based, but used the antiquated AHCI protocol)...however, you can't compare that P3700 series which is an enterprise grade SSD (SFF form factor using U.2 connector) that has a massive queue depth and not to mention very robust NAND designed to take a lot of PE cycles to the consumer grade SSD Apple is using in the new MBPs. Apples to oranges. The SSD Apple is using is most likely the Samsung SM961 (using an Apple custom firmware) which goes for about 0.5¢/GB which is about $250 for a 512GB model...so no, Apple is not selling the SSDs at below market prices.

Correction: After some research it seems like Apple is using SanDisk SDRQKBDC4 064G 64 GB NAND flash memory (x4 for a total of 256 GB)...not sure on it's PE cycle rating.

News about European shipping of new MBP ? I've ordered a 15" / 2.7 /460 and still in "Processing Items" and without charge in Credit Card... (estimated delivery between 17 and 24 November)

I ordered yesterday and hav Dec 16-22 estimated delivery. In my experience Apple always adds a generous margin to their estimated dates. Im hoping I will get it well before the 16th.

I've also just noticed that my Thunderbolt 3 (USB-C) to Thunderbolt 2 Adapter has changed to "ships: 1 business day," with a delivery date of Nov 15th. Previously, it was schedule to delivery no earlier than the 18th. Ordered a couple days ago.
