So whats the point of getting your hands on a prototype, to make a video, to hopefully make money, risking your job(most likely) then posting a video that is blurry and doesn't show any of the ports(lack of), home button, or anything of importance.

I call fake
It's not fake it's August 4th and the damn device is running SwitchBoard

I'm trying to think of a reason that the person posting this video would purposely blur out the bottom of the phone.
I was hoping this wasn't going to be true (And maybe it's still not.) But if this is the next iPhone, I'm going to switch the the Samsung S7 Edge.

I've had every iPhone since the first one, and hate how boring the design has become, especially since this one in the video will be third year in a row the phone has looked like this (and likely 4 years when they do the S model.)

I'll come back to Apple when the design is great again.

As dull as the design changes are on the 7, there will not be a 7S model next year.

Oooo Apple Fan Boy alert!

Take your attitude elsewhere.

Actually I am a technology fanboy. Of all brands.

My attitude is positivity towards technology improvement, whereas your attitude is negativity.

So yours is the attitude that needs changing. :)

People seriously considering not upgrading because this is not a design overhaul?
Guess what, I don't mind, as much as I don't mind Mac's design being the same for years if the design is good. Granted 6 and 6s design was one of the worst of the iPhone lineup, but I actually like the tweaks they made on the iPhone 7.
The camera protrudes but it does not feel constrained anymore between the antenna bands and, most importantly, follows the corner radius of the iphone structure. Once you realize that this does not happen in the 6 / 6s you'll get some serious OCD about it, trust me. The antenna bands got reduced as well.

As long as Apple introduces more performance, better battery life, better camera, some cool new features design leaks can't leak, and of course, a reasonable way to use headphones and earplugs, I would call it a good upgrade.
Do you think that 6S could use a faster CPU? It's plenty fast. Camera is good enough in daylight, low light performance sucks on all phones, can't do anything there. Battery life? Stop making phones thinner. Internals in 6S are really great and if not for new design, why would you upgrade? 30% faster CPU? Meh. Incremental upgrades does not count as upgrade worthy.

You started it, so clearly you're the one that has the issue. I'm annoyed they're removing a headphone jack from a phone because it's still something that I use a lot. Of course there's going to be work arounds but excuse me for voicing an opinion on a form.

Now goodbye.

All you said applies to pretty much every phone on the competition right now. What were the design changes between S6 and S7? There were some, but it was not an overhaul, like this iphone. And the S6 was pretty fast, had good battery life. But somehow people take the S7 as the holy grail and the best thing since the invention of sliced bread.

The smartphone market is maturing, and it's unrealistic to expect radical changes in anything (including design) on a year-over-year basis. And that's a good thing for costumers as well, because the devices we buy today hold value for more time.

PS. You do know that the only time the mAh decreased on an iphone was when they introduced a thicker one? The irony

Hopefully not but then again, iPhone 7 rumors said that it would be flush at first. It is even more likely if they go thinner although it should be among their main priorities for the 2017 iPhone.
My indication is something like Galaxy Note and s series.you see how their protruding cameras are integrated into the body atleast much better looking than this one

I don't think the person who receives the prototype has any risk to their employment. The factory worker that person paid to smuggle it out for them did but they just received a small pile of cash for that risk.

True, but I still don't understand the point of a video like this?

Because there is no way to make an app that looks like the SwitchBoard camera app.

Give over. Are you still annoyed that your CD's wont play on iPhone?

Its technology, moving forward.

A big hole in a phone doesn't make them very waterproof.

So much stupid in one statement.

The technology is still the standard, Bluetooth isn't better for various reasons, neither is Lightning due to limitations. Removing it is an inconvenience no-one asked for.

Samsung S7 is waterproof with the headphone jack. More waterproof than the iPhone 7 is rumoured to be.

This could be fake but honesty it's probably legit at this point.

Video can make money probably, or just the fact of doing it to get views. Not sure.

They can make a significant improvement in low light performance, but not a lot else. This is kind of the spec bump we would see with a redesign... except without a proper redesign.

Don't we go through this every year? Seems pretty legit at this point.

With all the money Apple has can't they hire a designer that doesn't make it look generic and cheap? You can find phones sold in China's back alley that look better.

The camera bulge is even uglier now. MAKE A THICKER PHONE WITH A FLUSH CAMERA, BIGGER BATTERY AND HEADPHONE JACK!!

Actually really looking forward to this piece of trash coming out so the iPhone SE price will come down.

Not buying this ugly crap. Did Apple hire Samsung designers or something?

NOBODY WATCHING THE BALL AT APPLE, SO SAD.

Jimrod the genius who thinks that leaving a massive hole in a device wont affect water resistance?!

I've never had a problem with my bluetooth headset. I have had a problem with my headphones tangling and having to sort the cable out when out running.

So much stupid in your statement: The Samsung phone is not 'waterproof'. It has water resistance to a certain depth.

Why are you comparing the Samsung to an iPhone that hasn't been released? You don't even know what the water resistance is. You rod.

None of this makes any sense. The iPhone was announced and launched the first half of 2007. Why would they wait till next September to do a REAL redesign?

You're missing the point. The S6 was last years phone, the S7 is this years (plus they have the edge.)

There was the iPhone 6, iPhone 6S and now this iPhone 7 which look practically identical, but without a headphone jack. Hardly time to party.
