Those were all old WWDC's. Heck, not one of those have been recently. Neither 2015 or 2016 was an embarrassment. I know that because I watched both of those keynotes, including the WWDC 2013 and 2014 keynotes too.
So 2014 (3 years ago) and 2013 (4 years ago) aren't recent according to you? Sorry but stickers, an "app store" in Messages that nobody uses and more useless emojii isn't embarrassing to you? The Photos app that was significantly worse in just about every metric from iPhoto isn't embarrassing to you?

They sure are to me.

Every Apple keynote with Tim Cook at the helm has been one embarrassment after the other. Everything from Cue's "dancing", Schiller's asinine Mac Pro boasting to that awkward WTF-moment with U2.

Past history is not on Apple's side.
Embarrassment after embarrassment as in Apple getting selling more and more of their devices and services and their stock going up?

And they likely aren't to many people who find use for them (or simply don't use them and continue using things as they did before).

Nice deflection but we're not talking about selling devices or services are we?

Well, no deflection, we are talking embarrassments, since no attribution or qualification was really provided to the generic hyperbole, it seems like anything related to Apple (and in particular rather important things like how a company is actually doing, which is reflected primarily by their financial position) would be relevant.

In the first link it lists cost as one of the reasons. That is FALSE for what I am paying for my hotel in San Jose I could be staying in at the St. Regis in SF and I made my reservations BEFORE I even knew if I was going or not.
As in compared to staying in the SF hotel when WWDC is happening there?

The we have a lot of great new products in the pipeline so stay tuned is getting a bit old. Either that or it's a very very very long pipeline.

Does any of this artwork somehow mean there is an imminent new iMac release?

I think this is an original graphic. Is there information to suggest otherwise?
Enjoy.

I returned my recently purchased MBP in anticipation, I hope we do get at least a Kaby Lake update.

If not I'll just buy it back with the back to school promotion that should be out soon.

That's your point of view, thank you for the input though. Do not force it on others, thanks!

And to your iPhone OS comment, yes it is called the iPhone OS but the iPads version is very much similiar to an iPod Touches OS. they're slimmed down exactly the same except for some iPad specific features ,etc. I also doubt his comment had any intention of referring to when the iPod released either. But I could, of course, be wrong as I'm not him.

Just out of random curiosity, is anyone contemplating switching to Android if iOS 11 underwhelms on Monday?

Can't sadly, I'm locked in tight to their eco system. Everyone in my family owns an iPhone, I've bought tons of songs already, etc. just too much to switch from at this point. If iOS 11 really underwhelms then oh well.

Doesn't seem like anyone is forcing anything on someone else, at least no more or less than those who are saying that things were an embarrassment.
