Can anybody really confirm that these are bonafide "real" Apple Stores? With all of the stories as of late about the boom of fake Apple Stores, I am starting to think these might be fake too...is there any way you can really say for sure that these are genuine stores?

The glowing Apple logo, the wooden tables, and the blue-shirted employees might just be knockoffs like they have used in these fake Apple Stores in China, the Chinese might be behind these Apple Stores as well!!!

Does anybody know how to make sure these are real stores?
Easy! If it is not listed here then it is not genuine, meaning it is fake.
Apple Retail Store - Store List

Order from apple online ? are u kidding ? there are so many tax and shipping regulations putting you barriers. People can order online in mythy great english speaking countries Usa or Canada or the Great British empire they just dont have to open mega apple high techno stores to 20.000 populated towns while there loads of cities populated over millions in third world. I am from Turkey and if you want buy a mac you nearly have to pay double times more than you pay in the us, plus your income is much lower than yours.
You are aware that Turkey is part of the First World, right? Definitely not Third World as I read out of your posts...

turkey is not a first world country, the link you sent refers to a different context. what i mean by first world is G7 countries like usa, canada, japan and so on.

They could do at least one retail store in Istanbul.

I was just playing with you guys, haha....of course I know how to check the legitimacy of a "real" Apple Store...lol...it is pretty easy. Plus, all the fake ones (that we know right now) are all in Western China. I don't think they would hire Caucasians (or any American) and try to pull off a knockoff store in the USA --- they would get shutdown right away!

Lets all stop and realize that Apple is the only company in this global meltdown that is opening new stores globally, innovating new products, improving customer experience and really on top of their game.
Even when the economy was better most companies just sat back and tried to capitalize on what they already had.

Apple cerainly is an amazing company with great leadership and devoted employees.
Nice fantasy, but not quite the "only company", nor is it anything new.

The combination of high volume and exceptionally high margins on Apple products contributes to the fat revenue stream. Yet that said, Luxury spending is up globally, and the big players are all doing very well.

IE: Porsche operating profit up 59%

Tiffany Q1-2011 worldwide sales were up 20%

Gucci LVMH, and related brands are all selling briskly.

And that's just for starters.

For those unfamiliar with what's happening outside of Apple's walled garden, here's but one link of many.

So why are these luxury items, because one cannot argue those companies are not as such, selling so well? We're in a recession (or depression, depending on who you ask) we got debt out the rear, people are losing their houses, losing their jobs, yet still want those goodies.

Aaaamazing.

If Apple doesnt open one in Ireland soon, ill open a fake one
The Irish economy is not in great shape at the moment. Apple opens store that they believe will be profitable, I don't think the population of Ireland, as a whole has much disposable income to spend on Apple products at the present time.

No, Turkey is a First World country!
The links I provided it absolutely correct on that matter. You seem to be mixing up First, Second, Third World with G7 countries though. Definitely not the same thing. ;)

I agree that Istanbul could have a retail store though. Just like any capital city worldwide...

Wow, what an ignorant comment.

And technically, the island of Ireland has an Apple store, there is one in Belfast.

Please.. Apple Store in the Philippines! I hate the arrogant employees at the resellers there.

Finally stores close to Hamilton, Ontario area! We had to drive to either Buffalo or Toronto previously. Now we have a store in Waterloo and a store opening in Burlington soon!

I don't think Microsoft would be allowed.

Apple probably have copywrited their stores like their tablets.

A rectangular shaped building with an entrance on the front where people can walk in to purchase items inside.

No one else it allowed to do this ;)

Voting this down? lol... Come on now, seriously... Its hilarious.:apple::apple:

Ohhh anchorage, why do you have to be 8 hours drive away?

Anyone at the Anchor-Town opening take any photos or videos? And if so...share plz?

Here are some.

1. Channel 2 News interviewing some people up the line from me.
2. Employees clapping inside.
3. Employees exited out the back and came around high-fiving us.
4. inside packed store.

There is not a single Apple Store in Scandinavia - a region with 25 million inhabitants.

Copenhagen or (hopefully and) Stockholm would be obvious place for a beautiful store.
Magasin du Nord in CPH, right in a front of a metro station. Would be fantastic:

I purchased my first record ever at Magasin du Nord. It was a 78rpm Parlophone jazz record by John Kirby's band, and I had to hand in an old disc, because they needed material for recycling. The year was 1947. Thirty-two years later, I bought my first Apple computer, in New York. Jazz and Apples,
still my two addictions.

I was told that Apple has a big office over in Blarney. Drop in the next time you're in Cork and suggest they open a store at that Blackpool Mall.
