And where exactly are the improvements besides 802.11n??? And theres supposed to be 5 new models out today, not just 3.

lol, the Macbook Pro is starting to look a little pitiful now given the processor specs of the new macbooks. WWDC can't come soon enough...

Yeah this is a terrible update IMO. Every other notebook maker and there dog is getting SR, what gives Apple ?

What about new iPods? I've been waiting forever since I cracked the screen on my 5G

Yeah... this macbook update is gravy for those that have been waiting years to replace their aging G4 and G3 notebooks, but what about those that have been waiting 6 months or a year to replace, or buy a new iPod with touch screen.

Come on Apple... cater to us all at the same time.

No seriously... where's my iPod?

I'm severely pissed. I don't want, like or need a MBP and I refuse to be forced into buying one. The fact is that EVERY other laptop will now have SR for the next 6 months and Apple have lumped us with this piece of crap.

well, calm down - SR is truly overrated. But it I do agree that it's kinda strange to release these configurations now that everyone else is moving on.

The day's not over yet; maybe we'll see some really tasty MBP updates before the store comes back up? Hopefully?

A minor bump...heres hoping WWDC brings something really woth waiting for.

I don't think the MB will be updated again in June, and the MBP may be updated before WWDC. Heck, the store is still down, so could even be today. This would allow SJ to focus on Leopard and the iPhone launch at WWDC, both of which are a heck of a lot more exciting than Santa Rosa.
