Actually have had similar thoughts. Panic bought mine right after price hike announcement (almost walked away from it then and should have but my sister happened to ask at a Walmart and they had a couple). Been cold on the machine since I got it, finding physical disc very hard here but snagged a few. Got a couple digital games using a gift card my sister got me. Rarely play the thing. Just can't get into it. Maybe need to try more but getting locked out until I update things don't help.

Kind of went pro for the additional storage since getting upgrading the SSD would have cost about the same or maybe more.

My sister has the regular 5 with drive in all actuality the pro would have been a better fit for her with its extra onboard storage and she plays way more. More than once I have thought about packing my pro up with it's disc drive, wipe the thing, cancel PSN account I didn't want in the first place, most of the physical games I got PS4/PS5 she would likely play. And just hand her the box and take hers down to the local GameStop and get a little back she could invest into a system that actually gets played.

I unfortunately regret getting the system thinking I could dump my low spec ryzen 7 1700x for a Mac mini m4 for basic computer stuff (which I don't do much of anyway, it's still in the box) and game on the console, which I don't do much of anyway.

Then Sony announcing they are going digital only while in the same breath yoinking digital content and shutting down services and digital store fronts 🤦‍♂️

Actually playing the switch 2 more. But casually. Maybe there was a reason I was hitting the retro PS3 section at the local GameStop the past few months... 🤔

Guess I should pull that mini out of the box again and give it another whirl. Was thinking of getting the magic track pad for it since last time I used it, macos thought my wireless mouse was a keyboard...
All I game with is my PS3, Xbox OG, and my pc. Old stuff is way more fun than the uber realistic stuff of today anyways. Love me some TW2003, the OG forza and Top Spin. Oh, still have my PS1 that was modded to use burned games, and my original nintendo and sega systems too. Once moved into our new house, I am going to get an HDMI switcher and neccessary adapters to have them all available on our Home theater.

As far as Mac thinking your wireless mouse is a keyboard, that happens all the time to me with my Logitech gaming mice (since I use a KVM switch between my gaming laptop and my MacBook Air). Just pretend it is asking about your literal keyboard and type your answers on that. It has never failed me. Of course, I am also not using a Mac keyboard, so maybe that is why?

I would think that the M4 Mac Mini would be a great emulating beast. Especially at the PS3 level. Just an idea.

I really want an old arcade setup that I could then load like 1000 games on. But, man, we have like nowhere to put it LOL. We don’t have a big house to begin with. Ah well. I’ll figure out something. It would be so sweet!

We are moving from 5000 plus sq ft to something less than 2000. It's going to be a shock to the system for a bit, but NOT to the wallet. ha ha. Everything will be cut in 2/3s. property tax is going from 4400 bucks to about 1000. same for insurance for the house and property, power bills, etc. Give us some breathing room again. That being said, we will have a recroom/media room for our projector, home theater system and 55 inch samsung to play our games and watch movies.

Did you ever play 2004 or was there just something about 03 that you preferred? They're mostly similar but 2003 is a bit harder, you don't get any bonuses from apparel. I still like to go back and destroy the AI with low rounds at St Andrews.
It was the first one I got, maybe it's 2004, and 2005 I have. Either way, It was JUST FUN. I love the old games.
