Yeah, @aggie99 is so enthusiastic about. Also, I haven't read too many complaints about it, too.
I am very enthusiastic about it as it fits my needs nearly perfectly. Almost everything I've wanted in a phone. That said, undoubtedly, it's not for everyone. First, the price alone makes it not for a majority of people. Second, the cameras are pretty much typical of what you would expect from the Fold line which is decent but not flagship camera level. Then the weight. Although I've gotten used to it, I imagine many will not be able to. But man, that display. Perfect for media consumption. Multitasking is fantastic. I love using it for email and viewing PDFs and pics for work. Love viewing construction drawings on it. I find myself using it opened considerably more than the ZF7. It's definitely the halo phone I've been wanting. S pen would make it perfect.

I will probably purchase a second. I can just see myself having an issue with this one such as dropping it or maybe it develop an issue out of warranty and there not being parts to repair it or additional units available to get a replacement. Guess could find a used one but sounds better to have a pristine new one available and if it ever comes down to me not needing an additional one I can sell the old or new one. I have dropped it a couple times and so far it's held up well so it may be an unnecessary worry.

While I don't plan to get a backup TriFold, I definitely look forward to a sequel and hope the TriFold isn't a one-hit wonder.

As incresible as my past Folds have been, the TriFold makes me forget all of them. Samsung can raise the TriFold price and still find buyers. There are very few phones like the TriFold. Does this mean TriFold owners are all daily driving a collector's item?
Yea id definitely pay $200-300 more for this device. That said I think as the tech develops and RAM and other component prices come back to earth eventually, they will be able to sell it at the current offering price and at least break even or make a slight profit. I'm not sure this device is or ever will be about profit. Maybe moreso a device to show the true capability of a folding device and keep the high end device seekers in the fold while those that aren't willing to pay that price will go towards the Fold 8 wide or whatever it's called.

Agree on all counts.

I've honestly gotten used to the weight, and that's with a kickstand case pushing total mass to a touch below 400g.

S Pen would be fantastic but I am making do with a capacitive stylus that gets the job 80% done. I've been writing a lot in Samsung Notes to capture meeting notes on the expansive inner screen and no scratches nor damage yet.

I don't know if I can go back to a regular fold, but way too soon to think about that. I plan to keep the TriFold at least two years (or more, depending on what the market offers by then). Hopefully nothing bad happens to my current TriFold. I have SquareTrade/AllState coverage on it, but not sure what that means if parts are scarce.

After owning 3 square Foldables, I think I am gonna stick to my N5 (also use a Fold 7) until a wide foldable comes along.

What an unpleasant surprise, the Oppo Find N6 is not gonna be released in Europe 🤧. It looks like Oppo has a winner on its hands, except for proper dust resistance, it feels kinda perfect, why not release it in more countries? After the iPhone Fold is released, very likely foldables will get kinda mainstream
After enjoying my Z Fold7 since its release, I finally got my hands on the Oppo Find N6. It’s amazing and like my Samsung it’s very well built.

As an early adopter I have no issues with the various pros and cons since the form factor is so ideal for my requirements.

And yes I concur that once Apple releases theirs it’ll add more credibility and attention to this class of devices. Everyone benefits.

Still enjoy my tri fold. No plans to sell it. Hopefully Samsung keeps their promise on updates being same as others
I missed the initial release of the Tri Fold and eagerly await what is sure to be its return. My Z Fold7 proved the value of a folding phone for my workflow, I had no idea how useful till I owned one.

Rumors seem pretty strong on a regular ZF8 and a passport style variant.

If Apple do release a passport style folding phone, then I have no doubt Samsung will too...

Not because one company copies another, but it seems supply-chain related. e.g. iPhones and Galaxy top models seem to follow each other in screen dimensions and then both offering a slimmer version in the same cycle

I tend to agree, mainly to remain competitive.

However now that I’ve used and enjoyed the Z Fold7, a passport format is simply too small and limiting for those of us that benefit from a larger display.

And it’s that fact that has me eager to buy a Samsung Tri Fold immediately upon it’s return to the market.

The Samsung passport style is rumored to have a 7.6" display. That's a pretty decent size.

I'm very interested in that device, but "only" if they finally make the crease almost invisible. This year both Apple and Samsung are supposed to finally release crease-free foldables.

I also hope having the device in the pocket is not that uncomfortable due to the wide aspect ratio.

I'm also very excited to see upgrades with the Z Flip 8. They say it will be thinner and lighter, which is my main desire with that phone (also hopefully slimmer bezels and better cameras).

The Flip line is so cool. It just needs to become as slim as possible for better comfortability in the pocket.

I want to see how it looks and feels. I hope the width unfolded doesn't make typing awkward for those of us with smaller hands.

Wish they'd remove the inner camera for all I care or put it in the corner like Oppo! I literally have not used that camera once
