c'mon, it's so simple maybe you need a refresher course...it's all ball bearings nowadaysRollable? I don't know. Kinda skeptical of that... because you'll need some small motor to load in the screen...

Yeah, but i don't seem too confident in it seeing both Lenovo and LG versions of a rollable.c'mon, it's so simple maybe you need a refresher course...it's all ball bearings nowadays
I'm seeing alot of chatter online on skipping 1st gen Ultra and going for the 2nd gen... given that 2nd gen will be much more solid as a product. And how most 2nd gen products in the past from Apple have always been way better than the original, but presently I don't see the 2nd gen being immensely better.I'm thinking wide bc Fold 8 from Fold 7 won't be much of a difference to me..second option iPhone Ultra and keep Fold 7..though I would rather wait on the iPhone till round 2
Give me a decent camera I'm okay, it has never been the must thing for me. Another thing that has me pausing is the rumored no Face IDYeah, but i don't seem too confident in it seeing both Lenovo and LG versions of a rollable.

But those who value having a telephoto lens... could be the thing that sells folks on the 2nd gen, I just haven't prioritize camera on a phone. Have accepted that if I want the best camera... its not gonna be in a foldable, as long as I'm capable of capturing the moment that's been enough for me.
I just can't see myself pulling the trigger, I feel like my next foldable upgrade has to be something different and this one looks too close to the Fold 7Did anyone pre-order the Motorola Razr Fold today?
Same. I might jump on the iPhone foldable but hard for me to consider any new foldable having the Trifold in my hands.I just can't see myself pulling the trigger, I feel like my next foldable upgrade has to be something different and this one looks too close to the Fold 7

get itCurious, do you use a tablet alongside your TriFold? Because if I was to get the TriTold... there would be no need to have my 13 inch iPad.Same. I might jump on the iPhone foldable but hard for me to consider any new foldable having the Trifold in my hands.
Nope. I have barely used my iPad Pro or Tab S8 Ultra since foldables got to a mature state.Curious, do you use a tablet alongside your TriFold? Because if I was to get the TriTold... there would be no need to have my 13 inch iPad.
Yeah, I would use it specifically for the Fold. But then I initally had my eye on Khadas Mind xPlay… it was shown off in the DeX subreddit. Was thinking of using that with the Fold (reminds me of having a Surface Pro)… but it’s going to be a toss up between buying that keyboard ($200) or the xPlay ($400).That's a cool looking keyboard,![]()

Ditto. Stopped using my 12.9" M1 iPad Pro after I got the Fold 4 (my first foldable). Eventually sold off the iPad Pro because it was just collecting dust.Nope. I have barely used my iPad Pro or Tab S8 Ultra since foldables got to a mature state.
Wow that's awesome one tooYeah, I would use it specifically for the Fold. But then I initally had my eye on Khadas Mind xPlay… it was shown off in the DeX subreddit. I love the stylus. Also, I don't care if it fits in the phone. However, Motorola's software updates and length leave a lot to be desired. Maybe, in a few months, when it's discounted, I'll get it?
Yea stylus looks cool and little carrying charger, I've always enjoyed Moto runs smoothly their tweaks and stuff close to stock Android. Updates previously were a mess so hopefully not the case now.I love the stylus. Also, I don't care if it fits in the phone. However, Motorola's software updates and length leave a lot to be desired. Hardware wise... its a no-brainer that the Rarz Fold is a winner, bigger battery... slightly bigger screen... better cameras. But I always make it known that Hardware is half of the equation... software is crucial as well. And I would choose Google over Razr... if Samsung was out the picture. In regards to the Razr Fold I've watched a couple of videos today and it's interesting. I want to see more details on the software side of it. I like the battery and cameras. I think this phone and the iPhone fold are going to challenge Samsung and hopefully Google to push harder with their foldables.
So, basically the upgrades include newer chip, better ultra-wide lens and bigger battery along with charging speeds. I suspect the Fold 8 Wide will outsell the standard Fold 8 primarily for the reason its different.Sanju Choudhary @saaaanj...
Z Fold 7 vs Z Fold 8 all hardware changes:
So on the last video that I posted I think the specs are going to be different which would make sense since Samsung wants to sell both foldables and give different options for people so that one doesn't outsell the otherHardware wise... its a no-brainer that the Rarz Fold is a winner, bigger battery... slightly bigger screen... better cameras. And it appears Google is working closely with Samsung bringing their exclusive features for Android 17 to Galaxy devices... so thats a greater advantage on the software side.

Yeah, that's what I mention in my post above... that Google and Samsung are working closely together to bring Gemini to Galaxy devices. And then you have Samsung exclusively working with Perplexity... implementing that into Bixby, they are ahead of pretty much every Android maker except for Google.I know a lot of people don't care but AI is important to me and I think that's another thing where Motorola is behind..
Nothing wrong with having more options to choose from... This is Samsung testing the waters to see how well the Fold 8 Wide sells... they only brought this out because of Apple. So on the last video that I posted I think the specs are going to be different which would make sense since Samsung wants to sell both foldables and give different options for people so that one doesn't outsell the other
100% agree with everything you said, we're both on the same page. And I'm ready to move over to widebody mode lolYeah, that's what I mention in my post above... that Google and Samsung are working closely together to bring Gemini to Galaxy devices. And if iPhone Ultra (or Fold)... sells like crazy, it would potentially push Samsung to heavily market the Fold 8 Wide over the standard which if that happens and it overwhelming outsells the standard Fold 8. I could see Samsung making the Fold 8 Wide the defacto choice going forward.
