Agree another shrinking of bezels would be awesome.
I’m sure it’s on the roadmap… but reality is settling in for me, curious how the trade-in deals are going to be. Have a feeling Samsung will be frugal when it comes to giving us discounts toward the upcoming foldables.

During the Fold 6 pre-orders… Samsung gave me 1k for my Fold 4, which was very generous of them… but I don’t think that’s in the cards for me now. I’ll probably get $800 for the Fold 6 and with the Fold 8 costing $1900… guessing I’ll be paying around $800-900 this time around.

Going to do the veteran move of contacting them a few days after I preorder to see if they have any more discounts toward lowering the cost (last time they credited me around $160).

Yeah ideally 1k trade in would be nice and usually the order then cancel for additional 5% but I never called them previously so that looks to be a good move too.

Well, here you have it folks. A supposedly real image of the new foldable phones.

If the crease has not been improved, then it would be a pass for me. I know everyone is different, but I never like the crease when trying these phones at the store.

Crease is such a non issue for me but I'm hearing this one will be the best one yet.
Yeah, I don't care about the crease. However, I really miss the s pen. So, we'll see if one of the folds intrigues me enough without it.

My boss had a Motorola Flip and it seemed nice but after 6 months the novelty must have worn off he is back to using his iPhone. I have only seen one of the Samsungs in the wild and I guess it might work for some but is definitely a 2 hander.

I didn’t think to contact them as well… until I checked in on Reddit and seen the increased discounts applied. And when folks reached out to Samsung to get credited… decided to do the same.

Yeah, I’m going to miss it too. Strangely, I’ve been avoiding using the S-Pen now… to get adjusted to not having it.

I have a stand that I solely use with the Fold… so I’ve been using the MX Master mouse a lot more now, which having a back button nice is nice to have (something I wish the S-Pen had). Only thing missing is the ability to change the mouse cursor… similar to how we can on Pentastic with the S-Pen.

I guess time will tell how many will actually purchase an iPhone fold at the projected price then again its Apple with a new product who knows.

I know that I say I don't care about the crease (at least with Samsung's), but this one looks awful!
It's a dummy unit so the crease is not indicative of how it's going to be when it's released, they pretty much do this for case manufacturers and for overall pre-release

It's giving first Pixel Foldable. Looks quite fat and in combination with the rumored battery specs, that's a bit sad
I enjoyed that first Pixel foldable it was just not as good as today's foldable phones and the battery was horrible for me, I like the fat while closed form factor. I'm thinking they're trying to keep the phones thinner and I would expect that battery size to be more than enough for the day.

I got the first Pixel fold because I thought the Fold 5 was too narrow but it didn't last long before I returned it due to poor reception and battery life. Not sure how I feel about the wide Fold 8 yet

I'm all in with a wide form factor so the only thing will be how the price comes in with trade in
