At our current pace we will pass MacAddict on November 2, 2003. I bet that date will be much closer in a month from now at the rate we are bringing in new users....

Yeah, we have a daily gain of 1000 points on them. I don't think that they will have much of a chance to catch back up to us....

I am certain that you will pass me. I have been speeding up as best as I can, but you are too fast for me. But Several of my machines are stuck on big units, so I hope to make quite a showing when they start turning in their units.

I'm really surprised at all the new members we've been seeing lately. And where we were just slowly moving past LWD, we're now closing in on StorageForum. If we make it to 34th, won't that be the highest ranking we've managed yet?

I guess sucess breeds sucess. We are doing well, so people are more willing to throw some cycles our way.
Also we with that new member drive/poll y'all setup, you have new members bringing in new members. I am a new member off of that poll, and I lay claim to bringing in Macs4me. And he looks like he might pass me. 
Ok, just wanted to mention that I've added my 17" powerbook to the mix.
Now I'm folding on my 550 MHz HP laptop and my 1 GHz Powerbook...my 200 MHz Pentium MMX desktop is being "decommissioned".
Both laptops are running 24/7...my HP laptop has it's fan broken, and while the powerbook is getting warm, and the fan is now on constantly, it doesn't seem to get as hot as my PC.
(I have noticed that my progress has stalled on my powerbook...yet the FAH core is running at 99-101% (don't ask my why it's >100, thats just what the process viewer window tells me. What happened?)

What happen to Rugby? He started off so strong and passed everyone except Rower and mc68k.... Now he doesn't have any computers folding..
I've given up trying to get all my computers online simultaneously via airport, and just sign them on in turn as and when they need it. Anyway, what that means is that i now have a 500MHz tibook, 1GHz athlon desktop and 3GHz P4 desktop working for this. With any luck this might push me up the table a bit
Oddly enough on the benchmarking, there's only about a 90sec time gap between frames on the P4 and athlon. Surely it should be more than that?

Uh well in one of the (IMO) worst moves ever. He made a distributed.net team for xlr8yourmac.com . He said he didn't like getting low results from the macs he was running because of lack of altivec.
He said if possible (and he said probably not) he might consider droping back occasionally.

On advice from our resident Tim, I have started using CONSOLE mode for my old tower when folding. The performance increase is ten-fold. Anyone else have this option? This would really help our team!

Console mode... do you mean TERMINAL? I doubt there is a 10x increase, I doubt 10% even but it does help... maybe 2-3% (I can see 10% if you used the graphical w/graphics on)
Well folks, at our current output we can pass Team MacOSX and become the #1 Mac folding team in a few months.
Overall, we can gain 8 more positions putting us well into the top 30 teams.

Lets hope for an east win over MacAddict4Ever first... Mac Os X is gonna be hard because... well they aren't one specific mac group, they are the mac.
MacAddict4Ever needs to not look behind them because they keep getting passed. Maybe (when school starts laying off the projects) I'll get some free time and add 2 more computers to my 'one man machine' that I have currently.
So if I haven't increased in production, my teachers still suck.

If we keep growing like we are, those months may even turn out to be an over estimate!

I assume that it's because the machine I was using does not support Quartz Extreme. I can't tell you how painfully obvious that fact is when I get on that beast. It bogs down every task to a ridiculous amount.
True, though... I was over-emphasizing to make a point. It was really only about twice as fast, or a little better than that. Sometimes you just forget that your post won't translate exaggeration (no vocal inflection or gestures to let others know). Sorry 'bout that.
On another note, I told you guys I was coming after you and I'm making good on my promise. As of today I have moved past 400 pts and into 46th place. But wait, I have more WUs crunching and I'm not gonna be happy until I burn some more spots up the ladder!

We have 306 active processors this week. That's the most I've seen yet. Hopefully we can keep this number rising.
I'd like to see our team hit a consistent 500 active processors during a given week.
Unfortunately I fried one of my mother boards and processors. But, I replaced that with a much better mobo and faster processor and now have overclocked that processor too. I also ordered the G3 800 ZIF from OWC to put in my G3 400. The sooner Apple comes out with a meaty desktop, the sooner I can add a new machine. Let's go Apple and 970 2.4
Oh and one last note: I wanted to thank mc68k for his wonderful script. Love the fact that I don't have to manually start folding and it runs in the background. This is how it should work.

ABIT is killing us and I see no chance of them letting up.
Almosy 5000 points in one day (no server glitch) so basically only an act of allah can stop them from coming now. I think we can hold of general Mayhem. And we should destroy like 6 teams before either of them reach us.
