I love people making fun of others about obsessing over the phone in an iphone forum. That's what this place is for - for those who like gadgets and this one in particular.
As for it just being a phone what you don't get is that iPhone 4 has changed everything. Again.

Yep, I read on the Internets that Apple just invented video chat. I can't wait to expeience that. I'm sure it will change my life dramatically. I can't wait to video chat with my daughter at college and not just hear her words that everything is OK, but to be able to look in her eyes and into her soul and understand immediately if she's lying or not. This changes everything.

But to some of us Apple technology is an important part of our lifes....
If you dont like it go start your own thread instead of bugging others that are upset about their orders being canceled.....
On the other hand....my order is now shipped

Technology is important part of our lives, but some people are obsessed and they are willing to do anything necessary. They even took man's finger for ipad. What will they do for iphone 4? They will probably take your life.
I dont disagree that for some people, finding their next meal is an important part of their life. But because of that should I not buy anything I want and just donate my life savings to starving kids in Africa? No. I dont mean to sound rude here, but it's not my fault that they're suffering. I do donate to charities and help people like them, but that's not to say that I can't spend any of it on myself.
Note that spending money on iPhones helps our economy by creating jobs and paying workers at factories in China that are struggling for food too.

No seriously, no joke, it's JUST A PHONE.
The POINT is, you would survive without your iPhone (or any other gadget you want to talk about), but you would not survive without food, water or air. There is a lot of immaturity on these forums with a "I'll just die if I don't get it on day 1" mentality. Just trying to put things into perspective.
