Thanks it's in Ontario. I have been using Packagemapper.com and until now, it has had better info. Its maps are also better and more in focus.
If it clears customs today then wouldn't you think it arrives in Edmonton by tonight and is on a truck by tomorrow? or is that way too much to ask of customs?

No it will probably arrive in Edmonton tomorrow I live in Montreal 5 hour car drive away from Mississauga and the guy did not even think it would be at my house by tomorrow. I am guessing it will arrive in my home town by tomorrow but not my door step.
Yeah but there is more of a chance that they would truck to montreal...if they trucked to edmonton it might take a week lol. Either way, I hope we're both pleasantly surprised!

Just spoke to fedex who said the shipment is in Toronto. They are still saying Tuesday delivery date as it has to clear customs and supposedly there is a tonne of Apple stuff to clear . . .

Even if there's a tonne of stuff to clear, I highly doubt it's going to take until next Tuesday to get them spreading out to their respective locations throughout Canada. I'm sure we'll see them start moving today and will be in some peoples hands by tomorrow. They're more than likely just sticking with the Tuesday date to be on the safe side. Thanks for the info!

Exactly.... they have ALL DAY today to clear it all... literally ALL DAY.... so it should be here soon....

So I called fedex's cusomter support line, gave them my tracking # and they told me that it might actually still be in Memphis even though it said it was in Mississauga because all there paperwork get sent at once.... and to kick it up a notch she said they might get it tomorrow but it wouldnt ship till friday

That would be really horrible if it's true, but it sounds like the FedEx rep didn't know what they were talking about. They said it "might still be in Memphis," "they might get it tomorrow"? There's a lot of tracking information that shows those iPods have moved around. Just seems to me like they are indeed in Ontario...

Well that sucks. The FedEx tracking page is back up too, it still claims it departed the Memphis location. The iSnoop page claims it left and is in Ontario as well. Odd.

Have any of the new Ipod touches shown up in the big box stores yet? (Walmart, Futureshop, Best Buy)? I notice that Futureshop has an "online quantity of 6" even though they say they are "out of stock" on the line above.

I think they put the "Delivered by the 9th" date to be safe with getting it out of China. It is now in the US and I see no reason why they can't keep these iPods moving, it shouldn't take until the 9th. Am I making any sense? haha

I called FedEX apparently the Apple policy is they must attempt at least one delivery so they won't hold it there.. Which sucks because I work 10 minutes from the FedEX warehouse by the airport...

I have been wondering the same thing as well. Something had to be scanned or entered for it to say that though...someones doing something somewhere with those iPods
