going crazy

oh man, every time i hear the door bell ring i think it might be here, even though i know it's in china, i still have that hope that it will be delivered today like it was supposed to be...:(

I couldn't agree more.

I didn't preorder H3, just went to BestBuy on day one, bought it and went home to play!

If I can, this will certainly be the last time I order from Apple.

If my theory is correct, our ipods should be arriving in Anchorage right now. I don't think fedEx will update immediately but let's wait and see!
 
As grumbly and annoyed as we all are, I guess we should remember our original delivery dates. Mine was Oct 9-11 and despite the headaches, I will probably get my iPod by then.

Still, It's very annoying that the pre-orders are going to arrive more than a week after the iPods will be available in stores.

I should have had mine by today, but whatever, because by the looks of it, they should indeed be arriving in Alaska about now. Only a couple more days it seems:)
Anyone else checking this site and/or their status as much as me today(ie, every 10 minutes)?

Agreed, mine should have been here today. I have still been looking as I feel everyone else's pain. That and I can't wait to call Apple AGAIN and complain that my order isn't here.;)

Finally! We should all have them between Thurs. and Fri. now! Finally just seeing that its in North America and not worrying about this BS in China with the holidays and typhoons is a huge relief.

Oh you paid for the fast ship? I was quoting my original pre-order invoice. I didn't pay extra for shipping.

Wohoo Alaska!! Now I hope the Russians don't annex the iPod holding facility
 
finally out of the chinese hell!

Hallelujah! Finally I have a clear view on when my iPod touch will get here, my sister also ordered one at the same time, and we both are ecstatic! :D

Props to FedEx for moving ahead of schedule... their site said they would be closed from 1st to 3rd and still got our ipods out!
I'm certainly not giving any credit to Apple for this.

We can't really blame FedEx since it's not their fault that apple picked a bad time to ship

I originally paid for faster shipping but called them on the 27th and complained about their lack of getting orders out when the stores have them; long story short, I got free fast shipping:)

I can't wait!

Mine says the exact same thing exact my data was transmitted at 6:34 pm.
Where do you live maybe we will get it the same day?

Sorry guys, but if you're in Canada it doesn't look like you will be getting the shipment any day soon !!

Also I got an email from Apple telling me that ...

Your Apple order has been shipped and is on its way. Unfortunately, when your package was picked up by FedEx, the estimated delivery date of your shipment was miscalculated. Your order was shipped from one of our international facilities and should arrive 2-3 business days after the time it was shipped.

We expect your shipment to arrive on time. If your order is not delivered by the estimated delivery date on your shipment notification, you will be
credited for any shipping costs on your order.

So yes it is going to take a whiloe which is VERY annoying, but at least they have acknowledged there is a screw-up. Don't get me wrong, I'm not sticking up for Apple or Fedex here, I mean if it ships to Alaska from Shanghai then why not direct to Toronto?!?!

Ohh well, haven't found a decent case for it yet anyhow.

Yeah, my copy of H3 came to my door on the day it was available, and cost $55 including taxes (free shipping). It sucks getting it on the same day for $20 off the price most people paid...

I am a little annoyed since we have the apple stores in Toronto getting them, but if I lived elsewhere then it would be tougher to get one for sure, and it looks like they will make/beat the original estimates so its hard to really complain on that. My biggest problem is that all this anti-3rd party development and actively locking out 'hackers' (they would be called developers in any other platform) came after I ordered. It looks like I'll still need my Palm TX just because Steve is locking this thing down and preventing it from being all it could be - PDA, divx player, eBook reader, games, you name it - what a waste. Oh well, hopefully it will still be worth it, but I bet the real reason for this BS is to artificially hobble this device so they can come out with their son of Newton and get us all to buy again for a true convergence device (which we really already have the hardware/software for !!!!).
 
Why haven't they moved from alaska yet? they arrived at 1pm!!! mine just says "entered Alaska sorting facility" (paraphrased)

Are your guys' still stuck?
 
There is a Fedex flight from Alaska that left at 3:00pm enroute to Memphis. It is quite possible that there was a 2 hr layover and they are enroute, but maybe the tracking info hasn't been updated yet. The Fedex flight is currently over Seattle.

Do you by any chance have the flight code so we can track it, and maybe a link to the page which shows any other flights going out tonight or at all? lol. Thanks!:)

Based on past tracking stats, ours should have left by now. It doesn't seem like they're usually quick enough that it would get there at 1, then be ready for the 3 plane. Who knows though, I've got no right to form opinions on all of this, but just looking at other peoples stats, seems like it isn't too likely it would have been on that 3 flight. I'll shut up now:)

My previous experience would suggest, if they are on that flight, that they should arrive on Thursday...but then again you never know....they have been delayed once..and Fedex says that they will be delivered on Tuesday....the wait continues.
