I agree, it's not just another version of the Pro which got tiring, but I couldn't stand 60 hz, so I was forced to use it. This year is a real game changer.
Definitely a game changer this year and I’m all for it.

Looks like the Air isn't the flop people online are trying to claim it is. At least the cloud white (in 256GB and 512GB) anyway...
I think anyone who has been theorizing this will sell as poorly as the mini or the s25 edge will come to be proven wrong
I mean they already are... The Plus this replaces, and the mini the Plus replaced, never backordered. And the S25 Edge? Did ANYBODY buy one?! Because the price of that thing is dropping like a rock and it just released a few months ago...
We will see, I can still order almost any model of air for launch day still in my city. I think the air may be a better seller for people who come to the store are see it when it's out. Clearly the die hard preorder people mostly prefer the Pro Max. I bet it looks amazing in person and that will help it.
I went with the Air. I think we’ve been conditioned year after year to think we need more more more of everything. People are online saying they need the cameras when they prob have mediocre at best photography skills and take 90% of their photos/videos to post on tik tok or instagram. I always bought the Pros because i cant stand 60hz, but i don't feel like i need the pro phone. The cameras are nice to have, but i have a Canon mirrorless i want to start using more for photography. Also trying to spend less time on my phone in general, so the smaller battery aligns with that goal.
Lastly, i feel like the Air feels like a throwback to Steve Job’s Apple, where form often came before function and design boundaries were pushed. It may end up being gimmicky, but it’s something different from an Apple we’ve seen push the same basic design for 5 years. Worth a try.
I chose the blue because I like blue. The Sierra Blue from several years back was one of my favorite iPhone colors.

The Air is very tempting. Just a nice, simple phone without all the cruft. My wife is getting one and I'm getting the Pro Max. I use the zoom lens a lot on vacation so I can't live without it.
It got all the attention at the Apple event, one blogger said he couldn't even get over there right away, they were 3 deep. I think some of the light Pro users (like me) will be fine with the Air, but the power users...we'll be seeing a lot of Orange over the next year.
