I decided against the marware, as all the colors have black covers, and no expected in stock date. Gave up on Portenza, waited over 3 weeks and still no case, plus wanted a thin case. I ordered a switcheasy canvas, which looks to be perfect and have most features. Has very positive reviews.

I'm not sure I like it much. I think I still prefer the Marware case, that is, if I ever get it. Marware say their shipping them as of Monday. I'm trying to reach Adorama to see if they have any change on the shipping date, but I have my doubts.
Thing is, I'm leaving the country for a couple months on May 7, taking the iPad 2 with me of course. So I really need to receive the case before then. Somehow, I doubt that will happen :s
Get the speck hd at target.. They have a 90 day return policy. I just picked up 3 and so far we all like this one the best.. Had the griffin slim folio, had the incase book jacket, had the incase magazine jacket.. So far i like the speck hd the best.. Its a tiny bit bulkier than the incase magaine jacket, but the coverage is much better
Well, I don't know what they look like/feel in real life, but according to the videos I saw (the above Speck one, and the following 2), the Canvas looks much nicer and more elegant to me. Again, this is just from watching the videos.

Btw, been calling my local target for 2 days; they don't have the Speck nor have any idea when they will be getting any...Even when I gave them the product number...

Marware's main focus appears to be on the CEO Hybrid. Getting updates on any other case has been like pulling teeth and this is from my personal experience and the many comments on facebook that have gone unanswered. The last update they made was in the comments of the CEO Hybrid post stating the Microshell is still on its way, but is being held up by customs. Also, there has been NO mention of the Microshell Folio.
I even put in a request via email to have them change the color of one of my orders and after several days of no response combined with the lack of response on anything other than the CEO Hybrid, I've decided to cancel my order.
I gave up on Marware, seem like a crappy company with the push back release date and lack of communication. Even Macmall dropped them, as they canceled my order and told me it was because of a distinct lack of communication from Marware. Too much competition in this space for a company to slack off like that.
I really like the prospects of the Folio Slim case but there's too much uncertainty and lack of communication with Marware to be confident in buying the case. I think I'll wait a bit longer until more concrete info comes out.

My understanding was that it was the black Microshells that shipped, not the Folios... Then again, it's hard to tell since Marware has not been very forthcoming with updates (CEO Hybrid being the exception). From what I have seen, It's taken multiple comments requesting the same question on their facebook page to even get a vague and sometimes contradicting answer from them.
I know...that's why I want to validate with fellow members here. This is wthat they have on Twitter earlier:

Yups..that's what they told me on twitter. But failed to reply to my second comment asking if they will be fulfilling pre-orders from their website only, or from other retailers' too.
No news from me from Adorama. And, to my amazing luck, they're closed for around a week!
EDIT: Oh, and the Target stores next to me don't have the Speck cases, contrary to Speck's claim that "all target stores will have them [last] weekend"... I've been calling everyday ever since, sometimes a few times a day, I'm yet to hear "Yes! We have those!"

Looks like these are FINALLY shipping. Can't wait to see a first review on these to decide if I am going to keep my preorder or Adorama or not.
Not "finally" shipping yet, I would say. The Monday they were referring to is last Monday (the 18th). Somehow, I doubt they actually started shipping them.

Amazon sent me a note saying they didn't yet have stock and it'd be cancelled on June 2 if it couldn't be fulfilled by then. Got the CEO 2 from Amazon, looks like the Folio won't show up.
My coworker got his yesterday.
He ordered direct from Marware but I don't know when he ordered.
SUPER-slim and the cover does not activate the sleep switch when wrapped around the back but then again there's nothing to hold the cover in place when it is wrapped around.
Slight negative for me.
Also, the ridges on the back which I assume are to make the iPad sit level actually made it kind of wobbly.
Not sure what was going on there.

I've moved on from this case, and IMO i'm glad I did. The initial mock-ups were better than the finished product, but they weren't that far off either.
I talked to a sales at adorama. He said they won't get any in at least 2 to 3 weeks.
My ipad2 is coming next week so I can't wait. So I bit the bullet and ordered on marware.com directly with the 10% coupon. Ordered last night and it's shipped out today with USPS tracking number.
According to marware website they're only currently shipping the black ones but not the other colors. The silver one with black front cover would be also a good choice I think.
