Part of iUp program (like getting a new toy each year) but went from the 15 PRO to the 16 PRO because of the improved Ultrawide lens and the longer telephoto lens. We shall see how impressed I am with Apple Intelligence (hopefully it will help Siri).
I'm using it now. Siri is actually much more useful.

i was really on the fence, I have a 15PM now, but I ordered a 16PM. Two main reasons: 1) the camera button is really interesting, I enjoy my DSLRs and I hope the camera button feels similar. 2) Visual Intelligence, I am really excited about the AI stuff. I’ve been playing with writing tools and what Siri stuff is new, and I really enjoy it. I’m excited for Genmoji and the semantic index, but seeing that Visual Intelligence is only on the 16s is intriguing. 2.5) a bonus is QuickTake going to 4K. 90% of my video is QuickTake because my 2yo is fast and will stop once she sees you take out the phone. So having full 4K QuickTake sounds like a big plus.

This is the first year that I'm not upgrading. I'm on the upgrade program, but just don't think it's worth doing at this time, now I may change my mind after they come out, but for now I'm just going to wait it out.

I upgrade yearly for the slight speed increases. Even 1/10th of a second makes a difference when you’re trying to snipe price errors online. upgrade this year is being paid for by $1 cpus lol

You know it’s got bad, when you essentially lease a phone like someone may do with a car….
Just buy it and actually own it.

Technically not the best comparison, when you lease a car you don’t pay the servicing etc, and you give it back and get a new one at the end of the lease rather than having to deal with sales people or tyre kickers.

If you can get anything on 0% credit, it’s worth doing regardless of the product.

Absolutely. Unless that 0% locks you in to a specific wireless provider and minimum plan cost for 36 months.

Or you have no self-control or lack financial literacy.

Or you think having tons of tiny outstanding debts is annoying.

Personally, I buy them outright because it’s a small enough expense. I’m not going to finance my lunch just because I can invest that $20 and earn more than a 0% yield.
