Kids. Kids play it.Does anybody really play it still?
Kids. Kids play it.Does anybody really play it still?
boomer logic here.No one over the age of 15 cares.
The game doesn't run on Apple's hardware, you are just viewing and interacting a videostream via browser. How can Apple ban Fortnite if it's being distributed through a web browser?
i always assumed that thing kind of remote gaming was mainly for single player games.I can't imagine that this will work as well in the browser. What kind of latency would you have streaming games?
Except Fortnite is already on nVidia Now. I've been playing it for months now, on my Mac M1. The only thing changing is them adding it to the mobile browser version, with touch controls.Let’s see, I bet that Epic Games in a few months will sue Nvidia, because Nvidia charges a fee to allow Fornite on its platform. They’ll call it a monopoly and will ask courts to give them a right to use Nvidia streaming service for free
If only you could connect a PS4 controller.......>allowing Fortnite to be played through a browser on iOS devices with touch-based controls.
Anyone who has ever played a shooter is laughing so hard right now.
Really? You really think Apple is going to start literally blocking websites in Safari? ?Apple can simply find a way to block the website from its own safari browser? They can also enforce it to another browser that’s being offered. That’s honestly not hard to do. It’s t just needs some legal enforcement
boomer logic here.
Can you imagine how laggy and slow it’s going to be on Safari? 😫😫I can't imagine that this will work as well in the browser. What kind of latency would you have streaming games?
Eh, I'd say more "ignorance" than "anecdotal evidence". You're choosing to lash out at something you apparently don't like, and in this process insulting other people. Weird, but okay.I don't know. I've only seen two kinds of people that play Fortnite:
1. Child
2. Man child
I've never seen other demographics of Fortnite players. This is also anecdotal evidence, but DANG IT, it's always one of those two. It's never any other demographic.

Just need to take one look at average age of players of the game to see it's mostly younger kids. Most are 18 and under, while almost all are under 25. People under 25 don't have a ton of disposable income. That money they're spending is mom and dad's.LOL, what an ignorant statement.
Know this; the gaming industry is bigger than hollywood and sports... combined.
You think its KIDS spending all that money?
@polaris20 was using the phrase correctly actually -- based on your own comment that stated "I've only seen two kinds of people that play Fortnite." Now you know. Then you need to look up what anecdotal evidence means.![]()
this makes absolutely no sense at all.Apple can simply find a way to block the website from its own safari browser? They can also enforce it to another browser that’s being offered. That’s honestly not hard to do. It’s t just needs some legal enforcement

Total number of accumulated players is misleading. Peak August 2018 online playing 78 million, during 2021, it was 6 to 12 million.Looking at the bigger Fortnite picture, the original concurrent player base peak was 78.3 million in August 2018. As well as being the school holidays, it's thought this milestone was thanks to Fortnite's recent addition to the Nintendo Switch. This was then eclipsed by Travis Scott's 12.3 million concurrent players, and then, the Galactus live event that pulled a record-breaking 15.3 million. These massive in-game events are a great way to pull in the big numbers, but are they a reliable business model?
According to PlayerCounter, there are currently 4.8 million players on Fortnite right now. This obviously goes up and down depending on the time of day - with the largest slice of the game's audience living in American time zones. On average, the Fortnite 2021 player count is anywhere between 6 and 12 million - with live events pushing it even higher.
its large, but using the great google, sports is 620b worldwide and tv is 230b and video games are 138b. I think movies are smaller than video games, though. And it's been true for a while:

Videogames now outperform Hollywood movies
Titles such as Halo: ODST are drawing people away from cinemas, television and DVDswww.theguardian.com
That's odd, we must have read a completely different comment - I read one reacting to the news of a touch controlled version of Fortnite running in a web browser through a 3rd party streaming service, and suggesting that only kids would be interested. You seem to have read an indictment of the entire multi-billion dollar gaming industry. Was part of the message in invisible ink or something? But enjoy being outraged, I guess.LOL, what an ignorant statement.
