The commission on sales would be a nice add, but having more of their hardware out there is still a win for Apple.

Exactly! I myself first tried my hands building my own Hackintosh and seeing how my workflow goes with macOS. I never worked with Windows for my work again and just 4 years later, I bought my first MacBook and iPhone, and have been buying newer models as well.

If I had to spend USD 1800 in the blind without knowing what will happen to my workflow, I likely would not have. Not making macOS not work on anything except Intel hardware made me an Apple customer.

Yes, my case is such that I don’t get two week trials here, I would have to buy the machine outright and can’t return.

Having anything Apple out there helps Apple.

Nope, that's really NOT possible, NOT in today's Trust Busting Climate !

In fact, Apple "may" even lose full control of their "curated" iOS App Store by year's end.

There's alot of stuff brewing, both here in the States, & abroad, that could be a major catalyst for change.
😂 how? Apple is the sole owner of the iOS App Store. It's their baby.

LOL, what an ignorant statement.

Know this; the gaming industry is bigger than hollywood and sports... combined.

You think its KIDS spending all that money?
You might be right. But cant help but lose respect for you. By time you are an adult I would hope you have better ways to spend your time than Fortnite - and Im not saying gaming is a not good way to spend your time lol.

Does anyone care or actually still play this washed up game?
I've never played fortnight, but I'm not ignoring reality.......!

Of course. Millions are still playing it, as posted earlier:

With more than 80.4 million Fortnite monthly active users and up to 4 million concurrent players every day, Fortnite is the most popular battle royale game in 2022. With the massive cumulative tournament prize pool of $7.88 million in 2020, Fortnite is the third leading eSports game in the world

From here:

Apple can simply find a way to block the website from its own safari browser? They can also enforce it to another browser that’s being offered. That’s honestly not hard to do. It’s t just needs some legal enforcement
Yeah, all we need, someone deciding what site I can and cannot visit with a specific browser...

This is a proof that Apple should remove Safari on all devices immediately as it allows access to unapproved content and violates all rules enforced for other apps. The Web has no place on iOS. It was not invented by Apple and would never have been nor by anyone else had mobile platforms been invented before the web. Web Browser on mobile platforms is an anomaly and it's bad for security, privacy, the children, your gran'ma, etc.

I don't know. I've only seen two kinds of people that play Fortnite:

1. Child
2. Man child

I've never seen other demographics of Fortnite players. This is also anecdotal evidence, but DANG IT, it's always one of those two. It's never any other demographic.
And woman child

Fortnite is a very popular game, I wonder who got hurt more Epic Games or Apple for not having it in the app store. I can see kids saying I will not buy iphone it does not have Fortnite.
I’d say Epic got hurt more. Because, rather than stick to their guns of “WE HAVE TO BE ON THE APP STORE!” they’ve already licked their wounds and put out a streaming solution in order to rekindle that Apple user revenue stream. It’ll be interesting to see if they’re able to get it back to where it was without Apple’s easy to use IAP service.

Honestly, I think this will work out for games compatible with GeForce NOW. I mean, Epic may be a piece of crap but actually getting to NVidia and having a touch-based game rolling around there?

This has potential, as in "This virtual joystick or touch based controls will allow MORE games, including AAA games, to come over to iOS" kind of thing. What we're going to get is actually the BETTER solution than just screaming like a petulant child until you get your way.

The touch based controls aren’t new, though. Games have been supporting touch based joysticks since the first game apps on iOS. What’s MOST likely to bring AAA games to iOS? Take Two buying Zynga. While Zynga’s profits adds nicely to Take Two’s bottom line, they’re more interested in the mobile developers they’re acquiring as a part of the purchase.
