with how apple has held back iPadOS from being more like macOS to maintain the difference both feature and even performace wise I dont see anything close to something like Dex, hell even there Phones can do dex with a bluetooth cable and exterior display wireless or wiredI actually was a really impressed with the level of productivity that Samsung’s customization of Android software allows on the Tab S line. I am hopeful, but not expecting big changes to iPadOS 16. I think Apple will begin to see decreases in sales of the Pro models if they don’t offer something that truly makes them different than a $300 iPad.
Samsung Tablets for long time have been viable and even a new version of Android 12 is coming out called 12L aimed at large screens so the gap is shortening quicklyWhich, in hindsight was a huge mistake. They could be killing it with real laptop replacement tablets now without the annoying iPadOS restrictions imposed by Apple in order to protect macbook sales.
Yeah very frustrating for Apple to intentionally hold back the iPad form being something much more. The M1 feels wasted, however, the RAM increase on my 2021 was immediately noticeable for my use case.with how apple has held back iPadOS from being more like macOS to maintain the difference both feature and even performace wise I dont see anything close to something like Dex, hell even there Phones can do dex with a bluetooth cable and exterior display wireless or wired
Sad but true. The lack of tablet-specific apps is why I won't consider a Surface or Tab.Is there a market for Android tablets?
Android essentially gave up on tablet software years ago. Even big tech companies don’t have Android tablet specific apps. It’s just blown up phone apps.
lets wait for the real world use...for me words or marketing from the company itself these days means nothingcompetition is a good thing.
read a news article on enhancements on the camera side of things, wold have bee nice to see some more details here too.
Given that there was not much of a change, set your expectations low for the iPhone 14 ... just sayin ...
yeah performance wise iPad line baffles me sometimes, the mini which is 2nd most powerful is the worst for productivy due to size, air is behind with a14 but more exspensive but bigger screen makes it more useful with keyboard support, then you got the base ipad with a13 while slowest isnt too behind the air but is still great as big screen and keyboardYeah very frustrating for Apple to intentionally hold back the iPad form being something much more. Think it’s a plastic back btwI think the standard s22 looks great with those symmetrical bezels and the centered hole punch. I am tempted to get one![]()
Lot of people are interested despite what you thinkWhats the point? who was interested on samsung devices...already saw the event...
S22 ultra is the Note....better this way since the Note always came too late in the fall with an old chip
The S22 has a glass backThink it’s a plastic back btw
only thing I liked was the OLED on the tablet, enough of this mini LED crap and trying to avoid paying out for OLED all the time ffs.
also, how many f@#king times do they want to shove the word INNOVATING/INNOVATION/INNOVATIVE/INNOVATES down our throats, it was cringe And pathetic.
I also expect the iPhone 14 pro lens to look like the ultras lens, not flush but not a massive bump anymore.
A use case for home, no not really.... for enterprise - YES this will make a big difference since most companies are going wifi only offices etc and wifi 6E will make big improvements on those use cases.@metalsiren
Vendors invested $ so they could separate you from your coins by selling their overpriced 6E wares.
Show me a use case that justifies overpaying for a 6E router/AP, which are north of $500 USD and you will be replacing when 7 hits the market.
4.0What’s the One UI thing shown in the photo? I didn’t watch the event lol
Whats the point? who was interested on samsung devices...already saw the event...
I interpreted MayaUser as saying 'What's the point in covering this? Whoever was interested in Samsung Devices [short pause for emphasis][confused face with shrug] already saw the event.'apparently you were interested since you watched the event...
Weird. I watched the same thing and thought to myself that this was the same as we have seen from Apple.Samsung events are one of the most boring ones on Earth, this one is not an exception. Super unorganized and just a big mess.
Wifi7 won't hit the market for another few years. 6E does have value. One could say the same thing about buying any model of anything, in this iterative generational technology hamster wheel life we live in.Show me a use case that justifies overpaying for a 6E router/AP, which are north of $500 USD and you will be replacing when 7 hits the market.
AMOLED and 120mz screens on the low-model phones beat the pixels count anyday.Dealbreaker for me is the 1080p display on the 6.6inch S22+ which frankly is just not enough. This bumps me up to the 1440p s22 ultra which STILL has a stupid curved display, so no glass screen protector.
Why is Apple now the ONLY major phone manufacturer that prioritises ppi over refresh rate on it's non flagship products. I don't want to spend £1000+ for a phone that has a decent ppi display, when I could've got ~450+ppi on some £4-500 phones just a couple years ago. I can get a 6.7 inch 1080p 120Hz display with decent nits on some £200 phones. So why does Samsung have something not too dissimilar on a £900 phone
Haven’t seen any huge major app for my iPad Pro either… developers are not as interested in iPads as they are in iPhones. Is there a market for Android tablets?

There seems to be an impression that Android tablets are dead. I don't think so. They definitely pale in comparison to iPads, but they're still getting solid solid sales. I'd say "they're the iPod Touches of Samsung", but they're still more prominent than that. FWIW, I still use my iPod Touch 5 as a glorified flashlight and calculatorIs there a market for Android tablets?

It's glass. Explicitly said so during the event. Uses some sort of Gorilla Glass exclusive to Samsung.Think it’s a plastic back btw
