Fourth-Generation iPod Touch Does NOT Have Vibration

In the teardown, they mentioned a little piece of plastic in one of the corners. Why couldn't Apple replace that with a vibration motor?
Why should vibrations only be limited to phone calls? It would be nice to have vibrations if not for games, then for push notifications.
In case you are unaware as to why the vibrate feature would be beneficial:
FaceTime Calls.
New Mail Alert.
New Calendar Invitation Alert.
Push Notification Alert.
Alarm.
App/Game feedback.

I'd like to have it for an alarm, so if I'm in class and an alarm goes off, I don't disturb anyone.
I use my iPhone/iPod as a pocket computer way more often than I use it with my ears for voice calls or playing music.
Also, FaceTime seems perfect for folks who might communicate primarily via sign language/lip reading. C'mon. Pay attention. Haven't you seen the iPhone 4 ads?

Whenever apple releases a product, consumers with ALWAYS find something to bitch about, ALWAYS. The 2nd and 3rd gen did not have a camera, so people bitched. Apple finally put one in and everyone is complaning that it doesnt vibrate!? If you want the best iPod touch buy an iPhone! When will people learn that apple will NOT make a perfect product because they always leave room for improvement. That's business. People will still buy the iPod touch, it will still be the best iPod around and PEOPLE WILL MOVE ON. That's life. Sorry to be so rude and I'm not a "I hate apple" person because I've owned every iPhone, I have an iPad, MBP and soon to own AppleTV. I buy they're products because I love them and there is NOT A PERFECT PRODUCT out there.

Why include something that you can add later and charge people for an "updated" version. All about the $$$. Nothing wring with that as long as you realized you are being played like a fiddle.

The reason people are complaining about Vibrate is because Apple indirectly said it would be there. Also this would have been a big selling point for people who are deaf and would like to face time with other people.
Exactly. How else would Apple attact the deaf market for the next version? Apple, those marketing geniuses.
