Using the nightly build may get your game more unstable than it really is...colocolo said:It has never crashed for me except in multiplayer.
Maybe try using the nightly to see if there is any difference between the 3.6.7 version and that one? I don't know what other fixes are included in it.

I don't think removing the mv_packs will affect your crashing rate. To be honest, I haven't seen any game crash in my system (look at my g5, and previewsly I had a 9600XT...).iknowjack said:Does anyone know of a build that doesn't crash?
Also does anyone know if any of the mv packs cause the game to crash, and that removing will stop it?
I spent $29.99 for the Logitech 3D Extreme Pro.Cougarcat said:No crashes for me. PB 1.67 and 1.5 GB RAM.
Gotta get a joystick, though. I don't even have a mousejust a trackpad, and I can never scroll fast enough to get enemies in view. I've managed to get to the mission after the first tutorial, but that's about as far as I think I'll be able to get. I'm on medium settings.
Can anyone recommend a cheap, sub-$20 joystick? Can't justify getting an expensive one, since I'd pretty much just be using it for this game.

Note that different ships have different handling. I think you can set mouse sensitivity in the game, although I play with the keyboard, and I can't tell you how effective that would be...Cougarcat said:No crashes for me. PB 1.67 and 1.5 GB RAM.
