iOS is going to destroy android either way
I like wishful thinking
iOS is going to destroy android either way
I have an android phone and hate it. It's a POS. I wish I could afford an iPhone so badly.

Lg Optimus running android 2.3.You should give Windows Phone 7 a try if an iPhone is out of your budget as some of the first Gen handsets can be had for cheap now and WP7 in itself s a great little OS.
Which Android handset are you using currently?
Yap, great arguments to the claim that iOS will destroy Android.

I have an android phone and hate it. It's a POS. I wish I could afford an iPhone so badly. Look at mysig, I don't even own a Mac. Just an iPad and iPod. I sold my MacBooks overthe last couple years. And I miss them, apple products are good. Really good. But as a networking major owning a Mac is sadly impractical.
Why did you drag an old thread up? Do you like making yourself look silly?
1. Apples 'improved' notifications were clearly inspired from Android's notification system.
2. You could sync a Windows CE PDA 10 years ago...You could sync a Psion PDA which are even older. Nothing new there. MobileMe was certainly not a syncing service for the iPhone. Even now, iCloud is pretty crap. Can you sync specific files and open them on your iOS device? No. Can you specify what syncs to which devices? No. Its essentially a non-optional sync and you've got no idea what will be in Sync or when. Android handles this MUCH better, without a doubt. In addition Apple dont have a Cloud, they have 1 maybe 2 datacenters in the US. That is pointless. Google use 10+ datacenters all over the world. The difference here is that with Apple, syncing is slow as hell outside the states. With Google, its still fast as you sync to your local datacenter. Google has a true cloud, Apple have an unreliable datacenter - huge difference.
3. Palm had an app store years ago. Linux has used the same 'repo' style system for YEARS, well before iOS was even a thought in someones head.
4. You need to check thread dates before posting, and when posting against someones post, provide factual evidence to avoid making yourself look like a troll.
But as a networking major owning a Mac is sadly impractical.

2: iCloud mainly syncs standardised information like text/photos/downloaded apps, and apps that have their file systems (like good reader) have integrated iCloud support to have these file system apps sync/add files between devices. Android handles it better? Not in my experience, and I'm using 4.0 dev tools. btw, I live outside the US and it's as fluid and fast as promised. When you try to lie/spread BS, do your research first.
3: Palm had an app store years ago? Sure. I owned a Palm TX and others before that, and it was god-awful. You cannot even relate the Apple Appstore to the hotchpotch that was Palm's implementation. It's like saying 'hurrr, we had the wheel in the stone age, so why do we need these modern tires?'. So, how'd their app store work for them?
The fact of the matter is, Apple is the Stephen Hawking of the tech world atm. Sure, they stand on the shoulders of giants (like Hewlett and Packard), but they not only think of truly original ideas (I've really noticed the derps on this forum focussing on aspects of iOS that make up probably 1-5% of the experience on any given device, that may have been inspired by another innovation in the past), but they think of new ways to implement age old ideas (like the PADD) and make something of them, which is something, whether you like it or not, no other company has really been able to accomplish in such a profound and widespread manner. Name one product that took the world by storm like the iPod, iPhone, iPad or Mac that sticks in the mind. The Zune's one, but only because it became a laughing stock in the competitive scene.
Side note: I just checked Oletros' other posts, and the funny thing was it's actually worse than expected. It's a combination of 'no u' comments and 'this has been proven a thousand times', never actually substantiating any of his comments. Seriously, check his previous posts. It's a plethora of statements giving birth to the ultra-fandroid from hell. Quite funny.
Android disgusts me. If/when people around me switch to Android because of its "cool features", which turn out to be laggy and crappy anyways, I will be the one with the Apple product in my hand for Steve helped create the most revolutionary product on the market today. I will help carry on Steve's goal to destroy Android.
You realize that for most people that is a detriment, not a positive. You probably only tried one Android phone out of thousands.
I don't care much about Steve Job's hopes or Android failing, but I know Android sucks. Just pull out your iPhone in front of an Android user and watch them come with the excuses (usually carrier related) as to why they don't have an iPhone but wish they did.
I have no idea why Apple users have the reputation that they do. Any ideas?
I don't get what you're saying.

Do you think we care? Especially when it's becoming an increasingly Apple-oriented industry. We were right all along. Steve Jobs was right all along.
Perhaps your claim that EVERY Android user (or every other phone for that case) doesn't have an iPhone because they can't but they want to have one?
A little secret that is not true, people like their iPhone, people like their Android phones, people like their WP7 phones
Did I say "every"? Well, I'm sorry, I meant...wait, I didn't say "every" anyways.![]()
Ah, when you said "put your iphone in front of one Android user" you were talking about just ONE particular user. Who is he or she?
Choose one. Most likely they want your iPhone
