There are some pretty priceless comments there.

One said "Now that you mention it - yes, but I have not used the front camera yet to determine if it is causing problmes".

Personally, I'm not nearly that narcissistic to know, or care if the front facing camera slips out of position. Who knows, I might actually look better with it out of position... I don't use it much at all, so it's not a problem. Plus with my luck, I'd probably get a 'replacement' that would have the reboot problem making it unusable...

Still, having there be that much room in that skinny of a device for the camera to shift out of position is impressive. I'd think that thing has to be built with a shoe horn to get everything jammed inside.

As there is no Apple Store where I live, I called Aplle Care yesterday and they are sending me an new iPhone 6. I told the advisor whats the problem with the front camera but he said that he has never heard of that problem. Believes who wants to! But he didn't even ask for a photo and just sent me a new one.

It should arrive today or tomorrow...I REALLY hope, everything is OK with that device. The first device I had to change because of a darker region near the battery symbol.

He sent you a refurbished one more likely...

Did the shift in the camera effect the performance of the camera?

Not yet. But the camera was ok when I got the iPhone, i.e. it has started to move in the first few days or weeks of use. The advisor agreed that it could get worse so that the front camera no longer works as it should.

But apart of the function it does not look very nice on the space grey iPhone.

just went to the apple store and they said they would replace both the screen and touch ID module (because i was also having issues with that). but i didn't have an hour over lunch. so i'll go back. was really hoping for a replacement. maybe it's because i don't have apple care.

also, i looked at the display phones, and the vast majority of them have the issue. i even found a non-space grey with the issue. though most of the silver and gold phones were fine.

There's a whole lot of pricks replying to this and not caring just because they don't have the issue.

I had the screen replaced on mine under warranty because I spent $650 on it and expect it to be Apple quality.

I was looking at my iPhone 6 today and I realised that the front facing camera had moved to the left. I never saw or heard something like that. It's so strange because I never dropped my phone so far.

Even if the camera has moved, it did not affect the pictures I take. In other words, Ito can still take good front facing photos.

Should I take the phone to the Apple Store?? Would they exchange it for another one? Is it worth it?

:D I am so glad I didn't buy the 6

for those who have had your screen repaired, do you notice any difference in the appearance of the phone, or any dust or anything like that? just wondering if it's obvious it was replaced in any way.

I had my display repaired today. They replace the display and the glass. And to be honest, once they were done it looked brand new. No dust no nothing.

A very nice quarter moon, don't ya think

They replaced the actual lcd panel too? How is the backlight uniformity? Any dark grayish spots or dimmness anywhere like upper right corner by the battery indicator? Download dead spotter from the App Store and look at the solid white screen and check. I've got the half moon too and my screen's uniformity is wack on my first replacement phone I got back. Sent my original one in for uniformity problems. Hopefully third time is a charm for me. I've never had to do this with my past iPhones!

That's what they told me! I checked the screen with that app and everything looks good!

Replace it, clearly it's not aligned properly or just the adhesive came off. Eventually it will **** to a point where it will be blocked by the glass. This is a defect, plain and simple.

iPhone 6 Front Camera Hole Mis-Aligned, Should I Get it Fixed?

My iPhone 6 from launch day is still perfect, thankfully, hope I don't curse myself saying that.

The problem is I have noticed that the front camera hole is mis-aligned. I believe it has been getting progressively worse.

I have seen this noted as being a grommet that is actually entering the visible area.

Do you believe this is worth getting fixed? I would probably have to mail it in and save the 45 to 60 minute drive to an Apple store. I almost hate to get a refurbished phone when mine is perfect, and a repair is equally unnerving considering everything else is perfect.

What do you think? Thanks.

So you'd prefer to have the problem fixed in several days rather than a couple hours? Just drive there. This is less than many people's daily commute. Find something fun around the Apple Store and go hang out somewhere.

I was having lunch with my friend the other day who got his on launch day as well and he has the same issue as well. I told him to take his back to the Apple Store to get it replaced. From what I heard from an apple store employee they give you the option to get a replacement or get it fixed. I wouldn't worry about getting a remanufactured one as I was told the phone is so new the replacements are new devices.... Take it with a grain of salt but that's what I was told lol. My phone has a hairline of a crescent but it's so unnoticeable that I think I'd be laughed out of the store. I'm waiting to see if it gets worse and if it does I'll take it in but it still boggles my mind how it happens, I mean I have never dropped this phone and can't understand what would make this happen.... So anyways just take it in to Apple would be my suggestion.

I think the reason OP is wary about a replacement is the quality control when it comes to iPhones. They don't want to give away their *nearly* perfect iPhone and get one that is new, but has faults like loose buttons, yellow screen, dead pixels, etc.

They replace your screen. so if your phone is scratched up its worth the time.
I personally got mine replaced becuause some launch day iPhone's have a little bit of a different display type, so screen protectors will fit perfectly with "type 1" but not "type 2." after having my screen replaced I recieved my replacment glass and it had a perfect fit with no lifting, compared to my original screen (I get paid to install screen protectors at best buy BTW, so I know what I am doing)
