I do like the light green color on the iPad Air! Wonder if Apple will carry that color to the 5.4” iPhone 12/Pro model?

Would love to buy a SS 44MM, but I'm leaving town on the 23rd for a few weeks, none are available for delivery before the 25th

If you have pulmonary issues like I do it's a flat out no brainer. Plus, I could use the always on display when timing things. It's annoying that the display goes off when I'm watching the hand move. I like that they added an always on altimeter. We hike in CO (where we live) and the kids are ALWAYS asking how much elevation we've gained. I use Altimeter+ for that now but having it at a split second would be nice.

The hike workout mode already shows your altitude gains.

In my case, acting like a rubber band is some magical new invention from Apple and describing it like nobody has ever seen one before was a huge turn-off, that left me so disgusted I never recovered.

Ah, come on now, isn't that being just a wee bit too sensitive? They didn't say the were the first time inventor of the rubber band. They just hyped a new watch band a little bit. I think a company presenting new stuff should be allowed to do that and I'm sure some customers are going to really enjoy it.

Totally agree. The event itself felt like they just did for the sake of "having an event in September" just to keep their customers accustomed to the expectation they cultivated for more than a decade.

Yet at the same time they opened the floodgates of uncertainty from this point onward, like "oh this year's event might be in September! October! Late August!" (you get the idea.)

From a company that has cultivated and inked their well-planned schedule of events and expectations within their customers' minds, the way they chose to hold a rather unnecessary event and totally ruin their established culture is...... beyond disappointing tbh.......

They literally destroyed the work they built for years within an hour........
Exactly! I'm more angry because of this crap "event" that I will go out of my way not to buy stuff. At least a date for the iPhone event would have given us some solid date to count down to.

It's very irritating that there is still no new AppleTV Box. This thing is three years without an update. There's not even a price reduction. I just don't get it.
Hearing the guys on ATP just rail on it was hilarious. It's stupidly overpriced at the moment. My 4K TCL Roku TV, which not having as nice of a UI, has apps that are just as fast and look almost identical. And that came in a TV that was priced at $299. I mean, seriously Apple.

Apple One is the only thing of interest. That will save me about £4 per month.

Otherwise, the worst event I can remember.

I don't know how big of a deal the A14 chip is going to be in the Air. iPadOS is such a limiting factor right now. I suppose it will make a difference for some Apps, but then I suspect these users are more likely to buy the 12.9 in Pro. I thought for sure they would announce that the Pro Models are getting the A14.

So, other than the jump from A12 to A14 chip and the new colors, it looks like the new Air is basically the 2018 iPad Pro 11in, without: Face ID, Promotion display, and quad speakers. Did I get that right?

He's had 3 months of betas to be testing with. What has he been doing the last 3 months?

you cant upload them yet and not everyone is in the same time zone. People would like to sleep. Usually you have a week notice for those reasons also iOS betas keep changing stuff, messing up your own code again (in the worst case) so you have to keep testing on each built. We have a team of 100+ testers testing each built on multiple devices before each release.

just look at all the Banking Apps, half of them are still crashing

My wife and I take a lot of photos and videos. We have 2TB each in cloud storage. The Premier Apple One would mean that we need to cut our storage in half or will there be an option to buy more storage?

All the complaints on here when MacRumors has pretty much been able to say what this would be about

Well, to be honest, I would not have watched this if it weren’t for the hurricane. Not sure why I thought actually watching the event was going to making it exciting but I did.

I do not see any features that would be attractive enough for me to buying a 6 series watch. Maybe 7 series will be the watch that will have something special, huh?

I still don’t get the marketing behind calling something Apple One and then offering 3 different options. So it’s not Apple One it’s Apple Three.
I think I know where Apple got it's inspiration..

Yea needleless glucose monitoring would make someone a trillionaire overnight. That's what I was looking for too when they mentioned diabetics.

Already available or at least something similar (no need for constant fingerpricks, and you get continuous blood glucose monitoring... I first heard of this a couple of years ago) - https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/type-1-diabetes/flash-monitoring-freestyle-libre/

I think she was using either this or something similar to this to monitor blood glucose levels. Pretty cool bit of technology.

I hope these services like Apple One will drive down Netflix's outrageous overpriced service. Competition is epic! Glad Apple did this. Netflix needs to get off it's high horse thinking $12.99 USD per month is justified just to watch movies.

So iPad Air only available in 64GB or 256GB, and 256GB is $749 for non-cellular or $879 for cell version. So $950 out the door. Holy....
