Apple literally just put the nail in Windows 8's coffin with OS X 'Yosemite'. And iOS8 looks awesome as well. You can tell apple really put some effort into this one.

do these new imessage features require that the receiving user have imessage as well? Because out of all my friends and family and coworkers I know 2 people with an iphone.

Most likely, yes, unfortunately. That's why it won't be as successful as Whatsapp or Snapchat.

I think of it as more of an enhanced walkie-talkie. It saves time not needing to review each message before sending.

They have, you just have to dig way back into history, G4 days more or less. Jobs and Schiller had some great moments.

Dissapointed they didn't add swipe typing. Best feature of Android by far for one-handed use.

Here's hoping it's announced with the next iPhone as it'll definitely need it.

I had a bad experience with Swype-type keyboards.
