Is it just me, or has Tim looked to have aged drastically over the last year?

Any word on who he's grooming as his successor? Steve prepped Tim for years; these guys have to know they could be out at any time, and it takes a long time to mentor another for those shoes.

Its weird to look at a video where Tim Cook doesnt have the most annoying voice.

That women, seriously, i cant stand her, she behaved the same way when they did D10 with Steve Jobs, she always asks the most stupid questions imaginable, she live in her own bubble, it almost looks like she doesnt even know who she is or where she is "Who am i, what am i doing here", she doesnt even seem to understand anything that Tim is saying, she keep reaffirming what Tim is saying, when Tim is talking about the iPad and had said the "iPad" for the 1000 billions time, she aks "You mean with the iPad???", she keeps asking questions that everyone know that Tim would never answer because its a secret. Everytime she ask something, she just goes on and on and one, instead of just saying "What time is it", she would go "What time is it? Do you have a clock, what time is that clock? Is that clock a standard clock and if so, what time is that? If that clock was red instead of white, what time would it be? Who am i, what am i doing here?"

Why is she still there with Walt, she gives no added value.

Is there a HD stream available anywhere? You'd think for a tech conference it would be standard

I love how good he is at answering questions without giving any information and avoiding answering questions.

I get why he has to do it. I'm not sure why anyone would think he would give any details during these conferences.

The D8 with Jobs, when you look back actually hinted at a fair few things. It seemed vague at the time but looking back he did drop some big hints, most notably Siri.

Anyone think Tim was hinting towards widgets in iOS7 by opening up API's to 3rd parties?

All the questions were very predictable. I still think Apple needs a good answer to the "why aren't you like Samsung" question.

"The same reason we aren't like Justin Bieber".

"More to the point, why is Samsung striving so hard to be like Apple, badly I might add".

I'm only in about 12 minutes and have dozed off twice. Did I miss anything? Should I rewind?

Sorry folks... while Timmy C is most likely a genius... Apple needs a new point man, a more dynamic face for the media. Cook just drones on... and on....

Edit: Screw it. After 40 minutes I can't take it anymore. I even took a valium to liven things up.

But my take for the little I viewed is: 1.) there is no iWatch in the works. 2.) The iTV rumor was simply that... a rumor. Tim "telegraphs" poorly.

Forbes has a very negative take on this interview.

"Investors shrug at Tim Cook's promise of new products"...

But, then can we let the investors run Apple? Not!

informative....somewhat

I like some of the things that were discussed, but we are the same boat just waiting to see what will be implemented.

Can't wait for WWDC.

Watching it and can't help but think that whoever did the Walt Mossberg puppet should make one of Tim Cook. Who was very muppet like in this interview.

I'm sorry to be critical, because I certainly have many flaws that could be picked apart. But from a purely professional standpoint I feel that Kara Swisher does not seem qualified to conduct these interviews. It comes across as though she doesn't have the technical knowledge necessary and I would even argue many of her questions seem juvenile, haphazard, or off-topic.

I certainly don't know this nice woman or her background in the technology industry, this is just how it comes across to me.

Indeed.

Not being from the US, I have still seen her on 'D' Edpisodes previously and have felt that she was akin to 'Judge Judy' going through the menopause!

Unnecessarily aloof, irritating and appeared to be trying too hard. I am glad I am not alone in thinking so.

Tim's got 'Steve Talk' down to a tee now.

'We want'
*pause and look like you're thinking*
'the best phones'
*pause again*
'the best macs'
*pause again
'and'
*pause and look philosophical*
'to do that, we needed to change'

Its fun to begin with but at the end you're sitting there thinking 'oh my god talk faster!'

Exactly. Total a nothing interview. Skip it.

Steve Jobs never told us anything either

It is just that people liked Steve and wanted him around, even when he had nothing to say. Not a criticism of SJ, but worth putting it into perspective when comparing TC to him.

I personally felt that Tim Cook gave a reasonably balanced interview, except when it came to taxes and open questions where he did not do so well in my opinon.

But then I expected that anyway. Roll on WWDC...

Forbes trolls for hits at Apple's expense. It's so bad in fact I deleted their news stream off my Flipboard.

Kara Swisher didn't do very well.

Does she ever? Her tweets are equally insipid.

One of the things that will always stick out from the Jobs & Gates interview is how often Jobs's face cringed while listening to her questions. It was obvious that he agreed to that event because of Mossberg and would have preferred it just have been him as the interviewer.

He probably didn't like the fact that she is married to a Google executive as well. A fact that I think should disqualify her from a lot of these interviews because of a likely conflict of interest.

Tim: We're still doing ok, I'm alot like Steve. We have really exciting products coming out. But I'm not going to say what, when or how much.

Walt: Thanks for being on the show. Good Night.

While your post was spot on to say the least I do think Steve knew the difference between a lot and alot.;)

Exactly what I was thinking. They could've covered twice as much if only Cook spoke even half as fast as an average person.
