Furious Mod for Gevey on iOS 5

and AS I SAID before, i never mentioned anything about it being fake, I just said one one of my two iphones it works, and on the other it doesnt, the furiousmod deb from x groove is the same one that i need, its 1.0.2, and ppl like myself have clone geveys because i am not in the states and a clone is all i can settle with.

so plz, myself and the user above are asking,
can mcbaron15 PLEASE see this post and make another furiousmod tweaked for ios 5, but instead based on v1.1.0, make it on base v1.0.2 so that the TWO versions can be available for ios 5 users.
its the same one found at cydia.myrepospace.com/turbosim for ios4xx.

mcbaron15 plz help us. (or anyone else who can understand what he did)
furiousmod 1.0.2 works for a majority of clone devices but we need it fixed for ios 5 just like 1.1.0

ive been trying to mod 1.0.2 also but always got launchctl errors while installing on ifile, or something about uikit directory. will try right now and post results

CONFIRMED working on my iphone4. no more dumb downgrading back to 4.2.1 just to install furiousmod when gevey suddenly would no longer give me reception on ios 5 manual procedure. thanks again, Keyokee. and thanks mcbaron15 for the patch method.!

kvizzel, give furiousmod 1.0.2 for ios5 a try. Also goes out to all other users who had trouble with 1.1.0.

My FuriousMod in cydia is 1.0.1 is that the same as 1.0.2?

I can confirm this is working for me too. I have an att iphone 4 with gevey ultra (from applenberry) and 3.10.01 on ios 5.0.1.

um... i never used 1.0.1, but if u are still on ios 4, u can try to update to 1.0.2 with cydia repo : cydia.myrepospace.com/turbosim/ and see if it works for u. (im pretty sure IT WILL though.)

THEN u can update to 5.0.1 and install 1.0.2 modded.

Ahhhh... was not thinking.

I've already updated to 5.0.1 and am currently jailbreaking.

OMG! Surprise surprise! IT WORKS!!!

I was getting ready to give up because it went straight to no service so I left it and I was going to type a response saying it doesn't work blah blah blah...

Then boom, No Sim Card...

Waited like 20 seconds and wala!

Am I happy to see you, full bars and T-Mobile!

the only difference seems to be that the 1.0.2 doesnt have the automatic data roaming option built in, but since 1.1.0 never worked for me i guess its something we have to live with

yup. no biggie.
btw, is there a tweak to get back to ios 4-style reception info?
like in ios 4 there are times when u can see 1 bar , while in ios 5, it either says no service or searching? that 1 bar is actually useful to evaluate what is happening with geveys.

I totally agree! but it's probably not possible, it's probably just the way ios 5 is.

After rebooting a few times, I tend to get

Sim Failure and it goes to Invalid or whatever and to fix this is to reboot.

Anyone know why this is happening? Ways to fix it?

I've tryed this deb file with all the requirements: iOS 5.0.1 on 4.10.01 bb, furiousmod version 1.1.0. Ifile installs easily to var/mobile/ documents. I still installed it there and works so well. I jus rebooted and bang simple mobile popped up quickly much faster than that 112 process.




Ps. Newbie or not it still work... I love info :D

I can confirm it is working now with 3.10.01 with the moved version of furious mod 1.0.2.
After it reesprings it won't do it, but after a full power off and on, and after 2 minutes your carrier will be there!

I just joined to say Thanks!!! (This will probably be my only post ever lol) I been watching this forum since macbaron15 made his post but it didn't work. I have a gevey from amazon and only been able to use furiousmod 1.0.1 and you are a life saver for make the mod for 1.0.1 thanks again!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D
 
I would ask if yours is the gevey Ultar of Applenberry or Gevey.us, mine is the Gevey.us apparently does not work with the 112 or the furious, but if it works with the 112 Gevey Plus.
Works perfect with the repo keyoke. vr 1.01
The bad thing is the phone numbers to be corrected..
