Would you rather have something delivered just to meet a date you mentioned, and have it fail miserably, let alone dealing with the fallout and everyone else calling you out on it...

or miss a date so you can get it done, get it done right, and get it done right so that anyone can use and gain from it?

I'd rather have the latter. Everyone can complain and be impatient about it, while I get it done and perfected. I lose nothing from the lack of everyone's patience.. something they really need to get ahold of again.

it will take a lot of time to get iOS 5 jailbreak! Chronic Dev team has also failed! let us see what iPhone dev team do
 
I don't think saying "oh well he pushed it back therefore it can't be legit".

That's like claiming "the new iPhone can't be real because Apple is pushing the release date to the Fall instead of Summer".

Again, I'm not advocating that this new 'dev' is real or not, but some people are overly pessimistic.

Is the iPhone much better with a JB/unlock? I certainly think so.

I knew before i bought my 4S it could be a while before the JB was available, so its all good. I'm confident, with time, it'll happen.

Right, but there's no way it's a 4s, as if you read the writing on the wall of the video it states it's just redsn0w (which currently can't jailbreak the 4S) with png changes.

While I think it's appreciated when users post recent developments to inform the community, a quick glance at the details would have told you it's fake ;)

Wasn't it like 4 months or so for the iPhone 4 jailbreak to come out? I would think that the 4s would take longer than that, seeing as it fairly new and not much like the iphone 4

Also Apple is pretty confident that their 4s can not be jailbroken. They also claim that they now are 2 steps ahead of the jailbreak community.

m_vincent_m put out a video, and people called that a fake.

Like I said before, I'd rather reserve judgment until 12/25, and let his results do the talking. You'll feel rather crunchy if he released something and it worked. Why not wait the 18 days and let his results do his talking?

BTW.. everyone thought Geohot was fake as well.. we all know his results.

Its all over the net. All they have to do is force updates, and they have the JB community.

They are already on 5.02, and the JB community does not even have a JB for 5.0 yet


As for ihackman's JB .. I will wait too, but when someone says they dont have a camera, and will buy one this weekend. That throws up a red flag to me.

does anyone have a guess on firmware we'll have to be on to be eligible for the 4s unlock? Do you guys think it'll HAVE to be 5.0 or would 5.0.1 be good enough.

Are people just pulling things out of their a$% now? I highly doubt Apple would come out and publicly make that statement.

LOL come on..man!...you been around long enough.... People here get stuff out of their a$$es all the time, just to support any argument. Apple never had such a statement and the iP4s had been jailbroken long long ago. there are many reason why a public Jailbreak is not available, one of them being the fact that most team are tired of answering stupid question and they need to tool to be as dumb down as possible.

So your opinion is that the JB is found, its just a matter of making it easy for the lay person to do it at home, ie a program?
