I hate Verizon.

Went in to do a pre-order. The sales guy said I have to buy the bundle, the Note 3 by itself is not for pre-order. I was like what?!

Pulled up the web page and said I can order it here on your site.
He goes to his computer does some things then says, "Oh it is available now.". Damn liar.

So go through the motions, then he says, "All sold out, sorry only bundle is available.".
I tell him to hold on and order it in front of him from my Windows Phone.
Then tell him he can take the Gear and eat it and hope he chokes. Then walked out.

I swear bunch of crooks and liars..

before i cancelled my pre-order, it also said 9/11-9/13...but how can that be? samsung said global launch is 9/25

Depends what you define as "international".....

Western Europe & Australia will likely get the Snapdragon
Southeast Asia and Eastern Europe will likely be the exynos

So which is international ?

LOL ... Good for you!!! Best Buy tried that bundle crap on me with a laptop, even the manager said bundle only. So I ordered on my phone for a pick up, waited in my car for 30min and got the text that it's ready for pick up, walked back in and back out with the laptop only(no bs bundle). The look on the manager's face as I walked out was so worth it.

Well this is awesome news, thank you. Was kinda bummed that I was gonna have to wait until Oct.

Yup. No promises though. :)

I wonder if Samsung/AT&T will do the same thing now, since they seem to have a very close relationship.

It's crazy how many Sammy devices AT&T sells these days. AT&T carries their tablets, the GS4, GS3, GS4 Mini, GS4 Active, Galaxy Camera, Note 2, Mega, Rugby Pro... am I missing any? lol

so the uk version and the tmo us version are the same?

if i buy the tmo version full price is it unlocked?

Don't know. I'm not in the US and don't know carrier policy's for US. Generally here if you buy a phone off contract (PAYG) it is either unlocked or the carrier will give you the unlock code on request.

yeah... i was in europe over the summer and loved throwing any gsm sim with 3g into my nexus 4. you guys have such a better system over there. i guess ill wait for tmo to offer it and ask them for an unlocked one.

I have AT&T with the iPhone 5 and still have the unlimited internet plan and when I try to pre order the note 3 it is making me choose another internet plan that is not unlimited. Anyone know if I call or go into the store if I can pre order and keep my current data plan. What's the best way? Thanks

Go to the store and order it there, just to make sure everything is done right.

It's near impossible to get the plan back if it's switched out.

Hi - I had this exact issue about an hour ago. Basically, AT&T catagorizes andriod and iphone data differently. You can still keep your unlimited plan - scroll all the way to the bottom of the available data plans, and choose "unlimited personal 4G & LTE data". It's the same price ($30) as previous "unlimited iphone data" was.

Awesome! I'll try that and see if I get the same option. Thanks

The international version will not have 3g support on the 1700 AWS band. If you're on T-Mobile US where the 3g had not been refarmed to the 1900 band, you'll get only 2g data.

Anyone know what's the ppi of the Note 3 for a 1080p display at 5.7" screen? Just want to know. Thanks in advance!

Anyone know if the Note 2 is getting any of the update love that the S4 & S3 are getting in October. It was conspicuously absent from the 4.3 announcement and hasn't had a software update since it's september launch last year.

I assume it would. Might be delayed a bit perhaps because Samsung might be working on additional S Pen features. Just like the Note 1 with its ICS update.

Malaysia and Singapore would be mostly Snapdragon I think. Both have active LTE networks.

Tell me how it goes pls. I want to know the good methods.

Called retention (couple different times) and got:

3 months of $20 credit
3 months of $15 credit
6 months of free text messaging

I also get a 20% discount through my company.

Note 3 ends up being $75. :D

Couldn't get the upgrade fee waived. Will try again another time.

what did you say to the retention folks? is your line a single line or part of a family plan? I'm afraid with mine being the main line I'm don't have much leverage as the other lines are all under contract with only my main line upgrade-able.

I'm a single line and my contract was up. Just told them I've been looking at other carriers and T-Mobile offers an unlimited minutes, texts, data plan for $70 and I'm thinking about switching. Then I ask if they have any deals or promotions available that would help offset the higher costs of AT&T.

What they'll do is usually try to offer you a lower/cheaper minute, text, data plan but I tell them I want to keep my plan the same. I then follow it up with, would you be able to offer any type of credit towards my future bills and they're usually helpful with that.

(If you're on a family plan, ask if they're willing to offer free text messaging for 6 months, that should save you a bit of money).

If you get someone who isn't helpful, just thank them for their time and call again later.

On a side note, just chatted with AT&T customer service and wasn't able to get the $36 upgrade fee waived but he credited me $36 towards my next bill. Good enough!
