According to mobile fun they are due to get the charging pad in stock today. Will post pictures and review if I get it within the next few days.

Lol, I ordered the wireless black charging back cover from them myself too, hope it charges no bother with the S4 wireless charging pad. Not bothered if it takes longer as it'll be while I sleep anyway :)

Vodafone just SMS me to let me know my Note 3 has been despatched and should be with me Monday as we don't have deliveries on Saturdays in Ireland.

Not convinced. Seems ejecting the pen and scribbling your name would take a lot longer to unlock your phone than just pin or pattern lock.
 
Maybe a dumb question but what is the point of the wireless charging and the big appeal?

Is it that much better or time saver than taking a plug and placing it in your phone to charge?

Never understood the appeal of wireless charging but maybe I am missing some key pieces to it. :confused:

Convenience. Set it down on the pad, it's charging. Nice if you use your phone as an alarm clock and charge overnight.

Suppose it also saves wear and tear on the port.

But mostly a convenience thing.

REALLY ANGRY NOW

mobile fun says now the charging pad isn't available for 2 months now...

now it says no S view covers in stock either..battery kit now also not available yet.

good job i bought a cheap note 3 cover

I feel the same, it isn't wireless and there is even more clutter that just using the cable to the phone that you will have to hook to the so called wireless charger anyway. Talk about laziness, first world problem if I ever saw one

Just rang, they said 4th November... But I said cancel. Not going on the every perpetual waiting game....

They'll refund the paypal payment. Thanks for the heads up though otherwise I'd have never known.

No problem

Did they say how long the wireless S view covers would be? says 2-3 weeks but they seem to change.

Yeah they just said wireless charging covers are due 4th November - to be honest just sounds like they plucked a date out of the air as thats exactly 1 month away ? co-incidence ?

ugh frustrating.

well i got a cheap case from amazon to keep me going til all the kit arrives. just glad they havn't taken money.

Yeah I still have my spigen Bounce but it's just the convenience thing for me, as I already have the charging pad, it would be so simple just to plod my Note 3 down and let it charge.


Ok, well I just found one on eBay which is pricier (about €12 more) than mobilefun, but I don't want to wait a month or two. I want it NOW :D

Outside of eBay, is anyone selling an official Samsung spare battery & charger in the USA?
 
Whats with the lack of cases for this thing?

Are all the manufacturers just worrying about iPhone cases?

The only ones I have seen are cheap Ebay ones and Spigen cases which dont look all that great to me.

First Note for me so wondering how well the case population normally is.
 
Few thoughts.

There are some downgrades from note 2. The flashlight isn't as bright, and the speaker is not as loud. Those are two things that aren't a big deal day to day, but when you need them you need them.

The camera is a amazing upgrade from the note 2. This was my biggest impetus to upgrade. I missed phone photography. I had just given up on taking good shots with the note 2.


The screen is also a huge upgrade. Looking at some uncompressed 20mp photos from my rx100, and I am blown away at the clarity. This isn't the first 1080p phone, but with the large screen it takes more advantage of the extra pixels.

I haven't found one thing that can bog this phone down. It flies through anything.

So far this thing has lived up to the hype. I love it. :)
