Maybe a dumb question but what is the point of the wireless charging and the big appeal?
Is it that much better or time saver than taking a plug and placing it in your phone to charge?
Never understood the appeal of wireless charging but maybe I am missing some key pieces to it.![]()
Hold on. So ATT corp store, Bestbuy and Sam's club all charge an upgrade fee?![]()
Darn. Might as well go ot the ATT store. I'm gonna try to night to see if anyone has any specials..but...meh. I doubt they'll credit the fee for me since I already have a $30/mo credit. Darn.
I ordered a Note 3 from T-Mobile on Wednesday night with overnight delivery and UPS just dropped it off...this is what they shipped it in. Wow. Just...wow.Image
I finally got myself a Note 3, I was a little worried about it. After seeing what US Carriers do to their phones I didn't know what to expect, I'd always bought phones direct from manufacturers.
I got it on contract with the English network 'EE'. No carrier logos on the phone, no carrier bootscreens when powering on, no built-in carrier apps. In the App Store there is an additional "EE Recommends" category, that's it.![]()
On my Note 2, I've been using the stock web browser since it has the option for full screen and quick controls (slide in pie like gestures from the side of the screen). It looks like Samsung removed this in the Note 3. Can someone recommend a good web browser with full screen and gestures?
How is the note 3 camera in regard to the g2 and the z1?
Does it lag much behind? And how does it compare in low light? Specially with shots of people in low light?
Cheers!
Do you guys know about "one hand operation" mode that the note 3 has?

This is the first time I'm really hearing about it. Pretty clever, I think.
I played around with it and it works really well.
So Samsung figured out a way to deliver a larger (in this case, really large) screen/phone while still giving people the ability to use it one handed.
Honest question: what do Apple-apologists -- particularly those that are so fearful of losing "one handed operation" -- have to say to that? Can we finally admit that other OEMs are moving faster in this industry than Apple are? Isn't what Samsung is implementing more innovative than Apple just saying "nope, screens shouldn't be that big. Can't be used one handed. The end." ?
I'm really surprised this feature isn't mentioned more often. Is this new with the Note 3, or has this been around since Note 1 and 2?
