Question.

On my Lumia 920 when i connect to bluetooth in my car, it would read out my texts and let me reply through the car stereo. So far I can't get it to work with the Note 3.

It does read my texts but from the device and not through my car. Also to reply, I have to have no lock screen on and couple of other settings on or off.

Kind of a pain, since I'm in the car a lot.
Any ideas or suggestions?
4.3 doesn't play nice with some car bluetooth systems. My car has built in Pandora and Stitcher app. On my Note 2 all worked well. Note 3 Stitcher works but Pandora only works through bluetooth controlled on phone. I pity the automotive telematics engineers, always playing catch up.

Thinking of getting the Note 3......
All of you Note 3 users....what are your impressions of the camera?

Rather have that than a phone that looks like crap...

Samsung could at least make their products look good.

Sounds like you would be happier with the HTC One if solid build quality is that important to you. Samsung has been making their phones like this for years, shouldn't be a surprise.

The phone looks perfectly fine.. It does what a smartphone should do.. If you care just about build quality go with HTC.. But why people care just about that God knows. I buy a phone for what it does not for what it's made out of

Agreed and the thing is I actually think the Note 3 has a great build quality.

Build Quality & Build Materials are not always the same, and even though the Note 3 is made from plastic - it's certainly got a great build quality.

Arguably in my own opinion it's as good a build quality as the iPhone 4/4S & 5/5S and just as good as the HTC One too.

Lets face it - those devices were not without their build issues with scratching or gaps etc... So premium build materials don't always constitute the same build quality.

Weird question, how do you clear the notification counts on apps?

My work email, not google email, displays 3 emails unread. I open up the app and there are no new emails.

Ive restarted, removed the app icon from the folder and placed it back, still doesnt clear.

Not a big thing, but very annoying.

And still having sporadic issues when trying to open the camera app and it just freezing followed by "unfortunately the camera is unable to open at this time" or something along those lines.

Something also to keep an eye on if this happens to your Note 3.

Today I have been getting terrible battery life when Ive had the phone for a week and its been amazing.

I looked at the cause and something called "mm-qcamera-daemon drained almost 50% of my battery and almost ran for 3 hours.

I read up on XDA and for me it was the yahoo messenger plug in that was causing it since there were errors with it.

Uninstalled and things seem back to normal.

Very weird and wonder if I cant do the yahoo thing anymore with risks with the battery?

I had an issue with my power button not working correctly and my 14 day buyers remorse period already ended. Had to go through AT&T's warranty dept who wanted to send me a refurbished certified replacement. I refused, wanted a brand new phone.

They ended up canceling my contract so that I could re-upgrade again for a new phone and then send back the old one. Since it's a new contract, I'll have the option to keep, return, or swap for a different phone the first 14 days again.

As much as I love the Note 3, it got me thinking this is my opportunity to try something different.. anyone with the Note have another phone that caught their eye?

About the same as my S4 though the pictures look a lot better on the Note screen. Very very sharp when viewing it from the phone

BTW, i just got my S4 back and comparing them side by side, the Note is really not that much bigger than the S4 .. but the screen is leagues bigger & better.

sorry for the poor pics I had to dust off my old Inspire 4G with its crap camera.

Holy crap. I was talking to an ATT rep about returns/exchanges for my incoming replacement Note 3 and told her how I still had the old Note 3 that I didn't send back yet from the contract cancellation. She checked the system and because they canceled my previous contract, my old Note 3 is now showing its free of contract with no outstanding charges or fees because my previous contract is complete.

She said I could just keep the phone! I followed it up with 2 other reps who checked the IMEI and both said I don't owe anything for the device and I can do whatever I want with it.

So the Note 3 that's on the way that I signed a new 2 year contract for. I can return this phone and get my upgrade back and still have a Note 3 to use! (with a messed up power button but whatever)

Wow. Already want to try a new phone. For me, the note 3 is, by far, the best phone I've ever used. So, I have no idea of any phone to recommend. Well, good luck in your search (posted before I saw your last post).

To your above post:

Another fantastic perk, GMAB! If I were you, I would keep the Note 3; obviously, it's good luck (I hope it doesn't come back to bite you - reps have been wrong, before).

Sorry, but some of this is a little suspicious. Last year, you got a great deal on the Note 2 (I remember because I couldn't get any deal). A year later, you get an even better deal and all of these perks?
If you're on the level, congrats; just saying though...

No problem. I wouldn't believe a word I was saying if it wasn't happening to me. :p

Only thing I'm worried about is later down the line, AT&T is like, you owe X amount for the phone/contract that wasn't completed. All I know is AT&T is able to give more perks on android devices than apple devices. Apple has ATT locked down and won't allow anything given away.

Kudos, good deal.:) Yeah, down the line could be an eye opener.:(

Just a PSA do not by the sview cover it is a POS. There is nothing to hold it closed so it just flops open constantly. Thereby negating any screen protection. It is also extremely limited in the things it can do when closed. You need to open it to view texts etc.

I have a rubber band on mine holding it closed which is far from a elegant solution.

Thankfully I only paid $40 for it. It will be going on Craigslist as soon as I get back from Las Vegas.

Thanks for the tip. I was afraid of that. Pretty sad that they charge so much for so little.

I had one of Samsung flip covers last year for the note and took it off after one day. I felt it got in the way more than it did help protect the phone.
